"Y/n...?"

"Little sis, please wake up...?"

You stirred, attempting to roll over where you lay, only for your neck to be jerked uncomfortably to a halt by something attached to your skull...

You brought your hand to your face, hissing in pain as you rubbed it downward and your nails cut into the skin of your forehead, "Ah-" you cut yourself off as your eyes opened and you saw that the skin of your hands had turned grey...and the nails were grown out sharp and dark, near to black against the grey...

"What...what is this...?!" you squeaked in choked up shock, halting in all thought as her hands came up to the growths of bone protruding from her skull...these growths were horns...

Your older brother loomed over you, his skin the same color, with horns of his own growing out of his head...and he was far larger than he had been before their change, "Just stay calm, we're gonna be-" you noticed the green glow in the palm of his right hand.

"Oh, sugar honey iced tea..." you muttered in horror before forcing yourself up and out of the bed you lay in, "This is not happening... it's not possible...!" you then began to panic when you felt your fingertips tingling, seeing them coat with a dim blue light of magic, "Oh, crap...!" you realized that you were not only a Qunari from your favorite game...but you were also a Mage.

"Y/n, it's gonna be okay! Solas said that-" your brother froze when you shot a glare in his direction...

"Where?!"

***

The Elf had been missing his own business, having just spoken with your parents who had also been dragged into Thedas and changed like you and your sibling...though, as all had been waiting for you to wake up, no one expected the girl, who your family had described as a sweet and innocent child...to go charging across Haven, out for Godly blood...

Solas froze when he heard you suddenly scream, "FEN-FUCKING-HAREL!" as you came sprinting up the short set of stairs toward his cabin, your clawed hands poised to dig into his face like a deranged serval...had your brother not caught up to you, bear hugging you from behind, careful not to take your horns to the face.

"Y/n, calm down! He's gonna help us!" your brother insisted, but you were not only enraged...you were distraught.

"Help us?! He can't help us! His version of helping would be to kill us for our own good in his new, perfect world!" you shouted, seething and practically frothing as your hands flung out toward the stunned apostate who could not believe what he had just heard, "Because to him, Qunari are base and wrong! A brutish people who shouldn't exist!" you hissed harshly, your voice full of hate, "Well, you know what you motherfucker, I fought for you! I fought to protect you and change your mind, but you took my fucking vallaslin away and LEFT ANYWAY!" you screamed at him, not even realizing what you were saying at that point.

"What?" Solas was speechless, "Who are you...?" he asked in horror.

"ELLANA LAVELLAN, YOU LYING DREAD WOLF SON OF A BITCH!"

After a while...after getting free from your brother's grip, you were able to blow off a bit of steam with the few hits you managed to get in on Solas, but your anger eventually gave way to grief and you broke down...

"How could he do this...?" you sat weeping in the cabin you had woken up in. Your parents had come as soon as they heard the fighting.

"You and I both know that he seriously miscalculated...but we still need him alive, Y/n. You know that," your brother reminded you as your mother brought you a cup of tea and came to sit beside you on the edge of your bed, rubbing your back to comfort you...even as she herself was a nervous wreck. She knew nothing of Thedas, or what had been done to her...but her instincts told her that she would find sanity in guarding her children, as did your father, so that's what they decided to do.
