Two days of running through the forest, barefoot and afraid...
You had fallen asleep in your warm house with your computer and blankets...only to wake up to trees and a lasting sleet of rain...
After the first day of walking, wild dogs came after you, tireless and vicious in their chase...
You looked around for anything that could help you, anything to fight with. You weren't about to lay down and die.
When you saw a thick tree limb laying on the ground you snarled and dashed for it, picking it up and swinging back at the dogs.
You were cold...
You were irritated...
You were royally pissed off...
"Come on!" you shouted at the dogs as they stopped, seeing you with a weapon. They began to circle you, "I don't have all fucking day! COME ON!" you bellowed and the first dog, the leader lunged.
You screamed as you swung the tree limb, striking the hound down to the muddy earth. It quickly got up as the other stopped circling, standing together. The leader whimpered before running away.
You breathed heavily, grunting with every breath, "Taarsidath-an Halsaam..." you breathed as you tried to calm yourself.
"Holy shit," a voice spoke up and you snapped, whipping around and swinging at whoever spoke.
You froze when a large grey hand caught the limb. A gasp escaped you when you looked up and saw the silhouette of huge bull-like horns, a glint of silver over the beings left eye.
The first thing to come to mind was the name "the Iron Bull..."
Little did you know, the name escaped your lips in a shrill whisper...
The creature bowed his head and you saw his face more clearly through the rain and mist, "You okay, red?" the creature asked as you studied his face, your eyes wide. True enough, your hair was red, though in the downpour, it was matted to your face and neck.
You stared up at him, silent as you let go of the branch and he dropped it, "I-I-..." you stammered, body shaking, confidence dying...your fear returned, "Please-...P-please, help me...?" you cried weakly, your knees going weak.
His curious expression turned to concern, "Hey, stay with me. What happened?" the horned man asked, "You can trust me..." he spoke with a softer voice as he knelt in front of you, resting his hands on your shoulders, "I'm the Iron Bull. Nothing's going to hurt you ever again," he said with determination and you sniffled.
You broke down, running into his chest, hugging him tightly, your face burying into his neck, "I don't want to die..." you rasped and he hugged you back.
"I'm here, Red. I'll keep you safe..."
***
That was two months ago...
You now lived in Sky Hold, after Haven was destroyed. The Inquisitor was a male Lavellan, named Erik.
You stayed in the keep, helping wherever you could, most often keeping Dorian or Solas company in the rotunda.
But there were many days when you went to watch the Iron Bull train, offering praises or just to be his cheerleader...
You walked beside Cullen, carrying a couple of swords, deciding to walk together on your way to the armory.
"Red!" you heard Iron Bull shout. He hardly ever used your real name, thinking "Red" just suited you better. The tall Qunari came walking toward you with a grin on his face and his axe held over his shoulder.
"What's up, Bull?" you asked, no longer fazed by his height or horns. He was Bull...and he was so very dear to you.
"I gotta talk to you, but-..." he noticed Cullen, "Are you...busy?" Bull asked and Cullen smiled, taking the swords from your arms.
"All yours, Iron Bull," the Fereldan said light-heartedly before heading to the armory.
You pushed a lock of red hair behind your ear, "So, what's up?" you asked before looking up at Bull.
The Qunari lowered his axe and leaned on it with both arms, "I made a bet with Krem," he started off, "He claims that you like Solas more, because he's gentle and smart. And I say you like Blackwall because he's a tough guy," he explained and you flushed pink.
You blinked at him, "They're my friends, sure, but I don't like either of them that way," you scrunched up your nose, "I...actually like someone else," you added meekly before turning to walk away.
"Is it Lavellan...?" Bull asked, trailing after you, picking up his axe again.
"Uh...No, not Lavellan. I-" you paused, "I like men who are strong, but can be gentle, too...and the man I like is very intelligent as well...protective and sweet when he needs to be," you fiddled with your fingers.
Bull stopped in his tracks, "Do you like Cullen...?" he questioned and you turned back to him.
You rolled you eyes and walked up to Bull, hooking a finger under the loop of his eye patch, pulling him down. You cupped his cheek with your free hand, kissing his cheek.
"I like you, kadan...I thought a Ben-Hassrath would've seen that by now," you said softly and Bull smiled, remaining at your level.
"Kadan, huh?" he asked, looking you in the eye.
"Yes, kadan. Now, are you gonna kiss me or not, the Iron Bull...?" you stated bluntly, emphasizing his full name.
Bull just chuckled and kissed your forehead, then both eyes...then, finally he placed a kiss on your lips. You grinned into it, wrapping your arms around his neck.
The Qunari just growled against you, a low rumble from his chest as he picked you up, dropping his axe, his arms wrapped around your waist.
You giggled as you broke the kiss, resting your forehead against his...
It was the most peaceful moment of your life...
