Smile

I'm not that happy girl,
That you think,
There's only pain and sadness,
In this ugly reality.

I may seem cheerful and sweet,
But little do you know,
What I have been hiding,
Inside this shattered heart.

I thought everything is just shades,
Black and white,
In this plain life I'm living,
Until I met you.

The first time I saw you,
My heart skipped a beat,
Maybe there is happiness,
And you must be it.

You are like a paint,
You coloured my plain life,
With the brush of your kindness,
And the pallete of your careness.

You restored my heart,
That has been broken to million pieces,
You were defined greatness,
That I have fallen for you.

I want you to love me,
So I became your best friend,
You relied on me,
Like a shoulder for you to lean.

I have wait enough,
I gathered my courage,
I confessed to you,
Waiting for your answer.

You didn't feel the same,
You broke my heart,
You knocked me down,
You destroyed me.

But I smile,
Because I don't want you to feel bad,
I don't want you to pity me,
You deserve happiness.

I'm back,
With so much pain,
In this broken life,
It's sad.

But I keep smiling,
I keep being cheerful
It's really sad,
How a smile can hide so much pain.
