Luke's P.O.V

Maddi is such a beautiful girl. I'm glad she isn't out there. But I don't hear no sign of mom? Mom never left without telling anyone. "Maddi have you seen mom?" I asked her. "No, I haven't heard from her since last night when her and Mitch were arguing about Hope taking her life for him.. It seemed pretty bad." She replies back. She has no idea. But she's been close to mom since the baby was born? I'm actually surprised Maddi lasted the apocalypse having a baby. Usually that wouldn't happen. I guess me and Maddi got lucky? Me and her have been together before the apocalypse happened. Its been about 5 years and the baby was born on February 15, 2014. Only three months. But we're still lucky. "I'm gonna go see if dad's up. I'm gonna see if he knows where mom is." I tell Maddi. "Okay." She replies back.

There's no one down here? Where could they all be? It's only Audrey and Nikki? Maybe I need to check the attic. That's where Mitch likes to hang out. I'll see if mom and dad are up there.

"Mom? Dad? Mitch?" I ask. Dad replies, "Me and Mitch are." Suddenly I'm terrified. "Where's mom?" I ask horrified. "She went to go get us some stuff so that we can clear this place and move onto the next." Says Mitch. He doesn't sound like he's in the mood for me to be asking questions. "Why is she out there alo-" I was about to ask before I got cut off. "She didn't tell anyone but Mitch where she was going!" Dad yells. He looked as if he was going to cry. This has been the forth time mom has left without telling him where she was going. Ever since my sister died, everything is upside down.. No one has been the same. But Mitch has been worse. Mitch was the one that was gonna be gone from us. Hope pushed him toward the door then she got bit. He was always hurt the worse.

Suddenly, we hear a honk. Mom. Dad runs downstairs in a streak of lighting and says, "Mom's back! Grab me a butcher knife! I'm gonna help her in!" I look outside. Mom is waving for dad to help her. Dad is out there in a matter of seconds. All I hear is, stabs in the head. Mom is limping. She must of got hurt. What if she's bit? Dad could never let her go. Never. Mom and dad are in the house now and mom is on the couch with her left leg on the coffee table. Mitch and dad went out to grab the supplies from the car. Mom was fighting dad to go out and help. Dad wouldn't let her. They finally brought all the stuff inside by now and dad carries her into the bathroom to check for teeth or scratch marks. He makes her take a shower because she was all dirty. He sits in there and talks with her until she's done. Finally mom and him walk out of the bathroom and mom is still limping. She looks better than when she came in. Dad sits on the couch and lets mom sit on his lap. "What happened out there? Why didn't you take me with you?" Dad asks her. "I went to grab what was left. There wasn't much. But enough to live on for about three more months. A bunch of walkers came behind me when I just got done putting the food and stuff in the car. I used a pistol that I found to shoot them in the head. One ran after me and I fell and hurt my ankle. I shot the walker in the head though." She replies back to him. Dad started crying. He thought it was the end. But luckily, it wasn't. Mom was almost our only hope to survive. We don't really have anyone else..

But each other.
