Luke's P.O.V
Me and Maddi are in the attic laughing until I realize that it's almost midnight. It's time to get serious. Time for me to make a move on her. It's been five years. It's been a while. I'm definitely ready. She's ready. This will be perfect. Mom and dad set up the place really good. It's perfect just like dad promised. Now I know he won't ever break a promise again.
"Maddi you know I love you right?" I ask her. She knows the answer, but I just want to let her know. "Yes of course I do. And I love you too." She says really slowly. Now is the time. I tell her to close her eyes and she does. I tell her to wait five minutes until she can open them again. She doesn't open them once. She has a weird expression on her face, but she keeps still.
"Open." I say to her. She does. She looks at the chair I was in first then sees me on one knee. She has tears in her eyes. "Maddi? Will you marry me? We don't have to have a wedding or anything. I just want you to be my wife. You know. Before it's the end." I say to her. She's know drenched with tears on her face. She's happy. "Yes, Luke. Yes I will." She says smiling. I slide the ring on her finger and I pick her up and kiss her. "I've wanted this for a long time." She says between our kiss. Then I say, "Me too." She was very happy at this point. "So what should we do now?" I ask. She says, "I'm not sure? Should we have a wedding or not?" I'm not sure. We can't do anything too big. Well we could, but that will take forever. "Why not just be married now?" I tell her with a smile. "Okay!" She says. I slide the other ring on her finger. She has the other ring. It's official. We're married. "Wanna go break the news to mom and dad?" I ask. "Yeah Mr. Hoke! I do!" She laughs. I put my arm up as if we were walking out of our wedding. She grabs it and we walk out of the attic.
We're now downstairs and we see mom and dad cuddling on the couch sleeping. We decided to leave them be. They looked comfortable. I don't want to wake them. Me and Maddi walk to Audrey and Nikki's room. I tell him that the attic is cleaned up and he could go back up there if he wanted. He does. He also says congratulations to me and Maddi for our engagement and our wedding. He was always a nice brother to me.
It's nice to have a great family. I just wish Hope was here to see this..
