SORRY THIS IS SO LATE!!!!!!  I just have been having a bit of writer's block and I couldn't figure out how I wanted this chapter to go, so... yeah.  It's a sucky excuse, but it's true.  Sorry again, but I made it extra long as an apology, so...  Hope you can forgive me!

Chapter 13

(Ookami's POV)

"How about you?"  I asked innocently, tilting my head to the side, all the while a crazed grin was trying to form on my lips.  "Nagato, right?  Wait... no, you go by Pein these days, do you not?"

The looks on Konan and his faces were... well, hilarious.  I couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter.  "Oh, did you think I was really just a clueless child?  Maybe this group isn't all it's cracked up to be, eh?"

"Leader-sama shouldn't have to fight some little girl, un!  I'll fight her instead."  The blonde - Deidara - said indignantly, his bright blue eye gleaming with mischief and bloodlust.

I pouted.  "But I was supposed to be the one to pick who I fought!"  I whined childishly.  "You won't be any fun."

That pissed him off, and suddenly he was dead serious.  "What did you say?"

"You won't be any fun to fight.  You'd be too easy."  I taunted, eyebrow quirked in a challenge.

He growled almost anomalistically and jammed his hand into a pouch on his waist.  I wasn't surprised, I had done my research.  "Detonating clay, eh?  So soon.  Well, it's not like this fight is going to last, so I suppose that makes sense."

He brought his hand out and opened it, revealing a bird-like formation sitting in his palm.  He performed a quick couple of handsigns and with a puff of smoke, the once-small clay bird was enormous, and Deidara stood atop it, smirking confidently down at me.  "You seem pretty confident."

"I've taken out entire villages."  He bragged.

"Well, Mr. Terrorist, let's see how you do against a demon."

He took to the sky, and I manipulated the air around me with ease, having it lift me so I hovered just above him.  I started off easy, grabbing several kunai and flinging them at Deidara in the blink of an eye.  If he couldn't dodge that, the Akatsuki wasn't worth my time.  He did, though, directing his clay bird to drop abruptly, avoiding the attack well.

I manipulated and toyed with the wind so that it was much more violent, blowing furiously and making it much more difficult for Deidara's bird to move freely in the air.  I blew him to me and delivered a kick to his chin, making him fly into the air.  His body shot off, leaving his bird to be blown away.

I appeared above his body in an instant, bringing my foot down into his gut with a powerful axe kick, sending him plummeting towards the ground.  There were several loud snaps as branches broke during his fall, and then a loud noise sounded through the woods as his limp, fallen body formed a crater in the clearing.

I appeared down where he was, standing on the edge of the crater, but then leaping down into it to inspect his battered form.

The dust cloud from the force of his fall finally cleared enough for me to distinguish his features... or lack thereof.  My eyes widened.  In place of Deidara, there lay a lump of his clay.  "What...?  That means..."  I trailed off, jerking my head to where the real Deidara stood, cocky smirk on his face.

He made familiar handsigns and yelled the dreaded word; "KATSU!"
