chapter 14

   *Next morning*

I'm at school on my desk thinking about what should be done about this new problem. I'm so pissed.
Anyways I have at lecture at 12th grade again. Rene hasn't replied to my text since morning. I had sent me a cute morning message. God I miss her

      I go to the class... And my eyes are searching for Rene in the room.. I don't see her anywhere around. I'm shook. What if the person that texted me took her. I mean he or she was warning me.. I should've told my baby about it already.

     “Good morning class” I say with thousands of thoughts in head. I need to find her as soon as this lecture is done..

“So open chapter 27 everyone and start reading.” this goes on for the next 40 minutes. The worst 40 minutes of my entire fucking life..

    “So class I'll see you guys tomorrow. Take care. ” I say and leave in a hurry. I watch Nick leave.. I stop him and ask about Rene

  “Have you seen Rene?” I ask politely. Which I never am..

He scratches his head and says “Um..no sir I haven't seen her since morning. She's prolly resting at home”

  “Okay if you do see her let me know...” I say

“Um.. sir.. are you and um.. Rene dating? He stutters while speaking..

“ yep.. but if anybody around here gets to know.. you'll be dead meat” I say coldly.

" Sure but I am worried about Rene, I mean I gotta find her she hasn't even replied to my texts and she never does that”

   “Gosh chill.. I could help you find her if you want me to.. she's a good friend of mine and I'd do nothing to hurt her.. I promise” he swears..

    “okay you can come.. let's go find her. while I'm driving keep ringing her cell.. or maybe track her phone locations.. maybe if you can” I say to Nick

He nods in agreement. We get to car and I don't even know where to find her. I can't go to her home.. her parents can't know she's missing maybe.. they'll be so mad. And it's all because of me..

     “Where are we going?” Nick asks..

I look down and sigh “I don't know Nick. I really don't know”.

  “We need to go check her if she's at home first then” nick Suggests.

     “Oh.. yeah then  maybe check that park or some other suspicious place. Anyway did you trying ringing her up?” I ask

      “yeah I've been trying for the past 5 minutes.. it's out of reach.”

We reach Rene's home and Nick goes in to enquire he sneaks into Rene's room and signals a No at me we had our answers..

     “Okay. I dont like this.. I knew this could've happened.. I should've warned Rene. This is my fault.” I mumbled under my breath..

      “What's wrong Matt tell me.. please I'm really worried for Rene and you. I'm serious.” Nick replies

      “Well.. umm... Last night I got a message from someone unknown number. The person was trying to get on my nerves by talking about Rene and maybe that person could do something to harm her.. or has already done..and I dont know what to do.. I don't know where to find her. I'm a fucking loser.” I cried..

       “No you're not. Rene has been there for me..and I'm gonna be there for her. We will find her. And I'm gonna be here for you all the way long so chillax and let's go find her those places we discussed.” Nick comforts me..

     “Yes let's go to the park first maybe there is a mysterious library there too..” I stutter.

  “Um.. Matt do you even have like a slight idea about who this person could be.. or maybe some place he or she could take Rene.?” nick asks me..

    “I don't know I've had enimes I mean who doesn't.. but that was high school we grew up. I don't know who could do this to me now..” I reply..

    “We're here Matt.. I'll check the left side and you go to the right side..maybe we might find some clue..here or there” nick suggests.

         “Yep and then we get in the library together. Text me if you find something fishy”.
 
       “Sure”
   

I look around the whole place.. it's quiet and peaceful as always. But I don't find Rene or anything related to her anywhere..

10 minutes of constant searching and we still don't find her.. Nick and I get in the car to maybe go around the city and check more places. Until I get a text from some unknown number again. I check
  
      “Did you find her yet.. well you won't without my help dickhead. You will feel what I felt in the 12th grade. Be ready to get your heart crushed mister popular.”

I'm in loss of words.. I'm numb.. I don't know what to say..

    “Matt who the fuck is this guy.. we atleast know that he's from your school or knows you from that time, can you think of someone that disliked you or envied you?!" Nick questions

".. umm. Well I had loads of friends but then there was this guy called Jamie that always had a problem with me but the problem got worse when his girl started having a thing for me.. and he was crazy in love with her. He threatened me via texts saying he'd ruin my life and shits. But I never took it seriously" I reply quietly

Nick stares into my eyes and says “MATT DO NOT TELL ME YOU SLEPT WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND OR SOMETHING”

I look outside the window and say “ I never slept with her I swear but I did kiss her in the park close to school but Jamie thought we had sex and shits”

Nick replies “well now we know what he's gonna do to Rene, that shit”

I realised what Nick is saying and scream “never to my baby, noooooo I am gonna save her. I'm so scared how are we gonna find her before her parents find out, we're dead”
