Imagine
Its the night before Luke leaves to tour and you should be happy because the plan was for you to go with him, but you can't...and Luke doesn't know it yet.
You have this nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach and you've tried to tell Luke for awhile now but it just never felt like the right time.
You're in the hotel room with Luke, sitting on the couch as he has his arm around you.
Luke's eyes are locked on the tv as you start to sit up, turning your body to face him.
"Luke, we need to talk." You say nervously.
"Okay, then lets talk." He says turning the volume down on the tv and turning his attention to you.
"About the tour..." You start.
"Yeah, you're coming and its gunna be great. And when its all over we're finally gunna get a place together."
"Luke...I can't."
"What? What do you mean you can't?" Luke says, his voice rising.
"I was afraid to tell you...Luke I applied to Stanford University and I got accepted. They even offered me scholarships...I have to go." You say looking at Luke.
"What the hell! We made plans (Y/N)!" Luke yells in reply.
"I'm sorry Luke okay!" You yell back.
"No! Why didn't you tell me?!" Luke shouts in anger.
"Maybe because I'm terrified of losing you!" You shout back.
"You know what, whatever. You go do your thing and I'll do mine." Luke says turning on the tv full blast, ending the argument as he turns his attention back to the tv.
"You're being really selfish you know that." You say as you shake your head at him and walk away.
You crawl into bed, still pissed at Luke. You can't believe he's acting this way. If it was the other way around you'd be happy for him and let him go. Yeah you'd be upset but you never stop him from pursuing his dreams.
You hear the door open and you turn you back to Luke, pretending to be asleep.
You feel Luke climbing into bed next to you and you don't say a word. Hoping he'll just leave you alone.
Then you feel Luke's body pressing against yours and he wraps his arms around you. He rests his chin on your shoulder and starts to whisper the lyrics to 'The Only Reason'.
"Don't talk, let me think it over
How we gonna fix this?
How we gonna undo all the pain?
Tell me, is it even worth it?
Looking through a straight line
Taking back the time we can't replace
All the crossed wires
Just making us tired
Is it too late to bring us back to life?
When I close my eyes and try to sleep

He finished the song without a word from you and then he finally says
"(Y/N)?"
"Hm?" You mumble in reply.
"I'm sorry I'm such an ass. Go to Stanford. You've worked so hard for it. And I'll do whatever you want. I don't care where we are I just care that we're together."
You finally turn around to look at Luke, his arms still locked around you.
"Okay?" He says looking into your eyes.
You pull him in for a kiss and Luke rolls you on top of him, kissing you deeply.
"I love you." You say between kisses.
"I love you more." Luke replies.

OMG GUYS IM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED IN FOREVERRR!! I'VE BEEN SO INSANELY BUSY LATELY WITH SCHOOL AND APPLYING FOR COLLEGE AND ITS ALL BEEN SO STRESSFUL AND IVE HAD NO TIME OR MOTIVATION TO UPDATE.
But I love you all so much and thanks for the support! Even though I haven't updated I still read all of your comments and I appreciate you all. I'm REALLY behind on requests and i've been flooded with requests so if I don't get to yours, I'm really sorry.

Oh and if you couldn't tell, If I Stay is like my fave movie atm so I kinda based this request off of the movie.
