1. Don't be afraid of them, have the expected layout in the back of your mind at all times but don't focus all of your attention on it.
2. Don't try to mess with a parabola is you are not the one creating the equation, or it will drop even faster.
3. Make sure to graph it so you can always remember it's peak and when and where it was.
4. An equation that creates a parabola always has an x squared, so that indicates the creator and what they do during the possible parabola.
5. If there is a + something at the end, that is representing the actual content you contain that made the parabola go up at that rate. The higher the better, but remember that after the peak it will drop at that same rate.
6. Don't always assume it's a parabola set up.
