AN: Hello lovelies! Thank you for stopping to read my story! I wrote this one awhile ago but never put it up and then I forgot about it and it got lost on the abyss that is my computer lol! I went through some old files and I stumbled on it and decided to post it. It was one of the first stories I ever wrote. I was going to just put it up as is but I read through it myself I realized how bad it really was lol. So I decided to revamp it here and there before posting it. I've gotten through the revamp of the first 15 chapters, and I haven't posted in forever so I decided I'd post a few and gauge interest. Feel free to let me know what you think! I love reading your thoughts!! :) xoxo

Chapter 5
Trish took advantage of the quiet while Brian was upstairs showering and changing to go to Arian's place. Trish had already showered, dressed, done her hair, and makeup before Brian had even gotten home. She had decided on a pair of tiny jean shorts, her favorite black bikini, and a cover-up. She left her long blonde hair down and went simple with her makeup, opting for only eyeliner and mascara.
She wasn't going to go anywhere without her safety blanket though, which tonight was a black, loose fitting, long sleeved, sheer top that buttoned up the front. It was a bathing suit cover up that she made work as a shirt by tucking it into her shorts. She figured it would mask her bruises enough that she wouldn't get too many stares from Arian's guests. Her legs weren't anywhere near as bruised as the upper portion of her body. Besides, she was hoping to be able to pass the few visible bruises on her legs off as being clumsy and bumping into something.
She flipped trough the channels when the news was over until she found something else to watch. After what seemed like forever, she glanced at the time on the cable box. It was already five after seven and she began to wonder what in the world was taking Brian too long. Just then she heard Brian making his way down the steps. She smiled when she saw him walk into the living room. He tried to dress casually, but she could tell he'd taken extra effort to look nice and she equated the extra effort to him wanting to impress his lady friend.
"It's about time!" she poked with a laugh. "Took some extra, extra, time to make sure you're lookin all good and smellin good," she continued to tease.
Brian frowned and narrowed his eyes at her. "Oh stop it! You know I always make sure I'm looking fly before I go anywhere."
Trish giggled at him while she slid her feet into a pair of black flip flops.
"So... Uh... Are you planning on swimming?" Brian asked, trying to keep his tone casual and uninterested.
"I don't know, I might," she answered with a shrug.
He nodded. "That's... Cool..."
Trish could feel the ager building. "What? Shall I not swim? You know, so I don't embarrass you in front of your friends."
Brian immediately knew what Trish thought he was talking about. "It has nothing to do with embarrassing me but more to do with the fact that I don't want to have to drown any of my friends in the pool for looking at you, which leads me down to the root of my actual question of, does your bathing suit constitute of sweatpants and a sweatshirt?"
Trish smiled slightly and realized she had overreacted. "No," she answered softly.
"Turtleneck, sweatpants, and a sweatshirt?" he asked, pushing his luck with a grin.
Trish rolled her eyes. "No. A bathing suit just like every other human in the world."
Brian chuckled. "Fine! Let's get goin."
