AN: Hello lovelies! Thank you for stopping to read my story! I wrote this one awhile ago but never put it up and then I forgot about it and it got lost on the abyss that is my computer lol! I went through some old files and I stumbled on it and decided to post it. It was one of the first stories I ever wrote. I was going to just put it up as is but I read through it myself I realized how bad it really was lol. So I decided to revamp it here and there before posting it. I've gotten through the revamp of the first 15 chapters, and I haven't posted in forever so I decided I'd post a few and gauge interest. Feel free to let me know what you think! I love reading your thoughts!! :) xoxo

Chapter 9
As soon as the song was over, Brian made a B-line for Trish. She rolled her eyes and sighed as she watched him quickly make his way over to her and JJ. The song switched into another slow song.
"Hey, how about I cut in?" Brian offered with a fake smile.
"Sure. I'm going to go grab us a drink. I'll wait for you at the table," JJ told her before releasing her from him his grip reluctantly.
Brian placed his hands on her hips and she placed her hands on his shoulders. "You think you're funny don't you?"
"I'm no comedian but I've been known to give people a chuckle or two in my life," Trish answered with a grin.
Brian narrowed his eyes. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
Trish stopped swaying to the music with Brian and sighed loudly. "Really? You came over here to argue with me?"
"I'm not arguing. It'll only be an argument if you make it one," he answered.
"Brian, can you please let up? You know about JJ and I. It's nothing new! Will you please drop this over protective big brother shit and just let me be the adult I am and make my own decisions?" Trish pleaded.
"I just don't want you to get hurt..."
Trish half smiled. "I'm a big girl now Brian, you have to remember that and I'm not going to get hurt. But, if I do, that's a part of life. It happens."
"What's with sudden upping the tempo?"
Trish laughed. "A snail covered in salt moves faster than the pace we were going in," she said, quoting Romina. "I'm ready to try this out. He's been so patient with me... Moving at my pace... Not rushing me or ever complaining about anything... He deserves it Brian."
Brian sighed and shook his head. "Just remember... He does and I'll kill him..."
Trish chuckled and shook her head. "You're such a bully."
"Like you didn't already know this?" Brian asked with a grin.
"Wouldn't be you if you weren't."
"Just shut yer yap and dance with your brother," he told her with a laugh. The tone of his voice was soft now; a flash of the Brian Trish loved so much.
Trish smiled as she placed her head on Brian's chest, closing her eyes. They swayed together to the music.
"You just have to see it from my side," he whispered into her hair as he placed his cheek on the top of her head as they danced. "JJ's my best friend. You're my little sister. It's just... Weird... I'm trying to get used to the idea. Half of me wants to rip his face off but the other half thinks... Well... He's a good guy and he could be good for you..."
Trish tilted her head up slightly to look at Brian. "That's the nicest thing you've said," she poked.
"Don't get used to it," he poked back.
