I'm Sodapop's best friend, Y/N. He's currently dating Sandy, the one with a beautiful smile, also the really pretty one... I have absolutely nothing in common with Sandy, she's I don't know, Sandy? But I know Soda sure does lover her.

•Let's be honest we don't got a lot in common when it comes down to it
•You can take his breath away and light up every room when you walk through it

But honestly, I don't want to look like her, I don't want her looks, or attitude, or anything...

•But I don't want you six foot legs and angel face and sophistication
•Don't really want to cause a scene but girl you got everything

The way Soda looks at Sandy... In his eyes, she's the only girl in the world.. Other girls in his eyes were faint stars, but Sandy was like his sun... All I want is your Boyfriend.

But why do I want her boyfriend? But no matter how much I want Soda to be mine, I won't take him from her, because that's wrong on so many levels.

I want to be honest with him, I want to tell him how I feel about him, but I don't want to ruin out friendship... We practically grew up together, wow looking back on all of those times, how did I never notice these feelings for him sooner?

He loves her so much, and I feel like I can't lose him... But he's not even mine... He smiles when he sees me, but it's not the same way he smiles at her. The way his eyes light up when shes talking, and he loves her so much.

It sounds a bit insensitive

Sometimes I sit there and watch them from a distance, that could be us, but it'll never will happen. But he only sees me as a friend, I want to walk up to Sandy and tell her:

•Don't worry I won't take him cause I ain't that low

It's funny how she acts surprised with how much he loves her. You can literally see it in his eyes, and I think she knows how much I love him.

I'll be there when he gets over her, like I was every other time. When he would go through a break up, he would always come over to my house, "She broke up with me." And I'll always say the same thing over and over, "It's okay, Soda. You'll find someone better." And deep down, I think, "I can treat you better" (Shawn Mendes anyone?)

I'll tell her one day.  But I'm pretty sure she already knows....

But I guess if it's meant to be it'll be.. Right?? It's kind of cliché, but the worst feeling in the world is when it finally hits you... He loves her not me.. he only sees me as a friend.

I was sitting on my couch, sitting thinking about Soda and I... He told me about a week or two ago, that he was going to marry Sandy, and that killed me... I was tearing up a bit, my heart breaking into pieces, but I'll have to move on at some point, right?
I heard a knock on my front door, I got up and wiped my tears away. I opened the door, and Soda was standing there.

"Soda, what are you doing here so late?" I say leaning up against the door frame, and he was crying.
"What happened? What's wrong?" I say pulling him inside and closing the door. He sits down on the couch and puts his head in hands, "Y/N, Sandy moved to Florida." He says.

Where the heck was I when All of this happened? "What? Why?" I ask looking at him.

"Because she's pregnant. And she went to live with her grandparents in Florida." He says through tears.

"Is it yours?" I ask him, and he just looks up. By the look on his face, I knew the answer...

I pull him into a hug, and rub his back. "It's okay, Soda.. You'll find someone better..." I say. Maybe that someone is me... "Y/N, thank you.."
"You're welcome Soda..."
