A jersey boy, sitting out on the field. He wipes the sweat from his forehead, and he looks down at the fake grass. I smile and go on, he's my jersey boy, or not yet that is. I go over and sit, my heart throwing a fit. He looks over and fakes it, a simple lost hi. I groan, and he watches the girl not of his dreams. A girl with a heart, but her looks aren't the start. I show no emotion as I look into the sky, oh, jersey boy why don't you love me. The fast beat of my heart, and the stars falling apart. Could this be the last time I see you here this way? Things won't remain the same; you'll watch me sit and bawl. Jersey boy just go on and say it, the words I'm dying to hear. Then end me straight because I fear nothing of you, dear. You're my life saver and dreamboat, the one I would die for. I don't mind the rejections, but I want you to love me. Hell, I will do as you please, if you just let me stay by your side. Use me, love me, any of the sort, Oh jersey boy, what's wrong? Was this little fantasy wrong from the start? Tears they fall, oh yes, they will. I'm a broken girl, and I always have been. A depressing horizon, and I fall again. Jersey boy you shine brighter than before, and I can't help but fall in love with you more. Over and over, I know, once in a lifetime you'll be mine. I'll keep the tears inside, and I will wait. Jersey boy..
