A bag plopped on the seat, a man clad in what appeared to be a chef's uniform, was in my line of sight. He raised his head, rubbing his jet black hair.

"Sorry sir, but job applications for the apprenticeship has ended, maybe--"

"Ah.. sorry miss but I'm here for food..." He dawled, before shifting his head towards a tray of food that flew past him, "I heard the food is--" He took a whiff of the food, savoring the smell of pleasantness, "Amazing.."

"Well someone's a foodie.." I muttered under my breath, grabbing a pen and a menu book, "Here you go. When you're ready, any drinks?"

"Ah yes please...Gin and tonic thanks," the young male trailed but what surprised me was his politeness and great manners, which reminded me was his familiarity.

Have I seen him before?

"Ready sir?" His orbs raised to meet yours before smiling, "Please, call me Jin. Sir makes me sound old."

Jin?!

"Ahaha... your name matches your order, s--I mean Jin..."

"Ah.. yes it does, doesn't it? Uh--" Jin shifted his attention to my name tag, causing his eyes to almost budge.

"Yah! Your name...that can't be?!"

Taking a small glimpse down, "That's my name, don't wear it out, Jin," I saluted, "Now, what's your order?"

"Ah.. haha.. sorry your name reminded me of someone I knew.. can I please have lobster with cheese and chicken burger..."

"... and fries with barbecue sauce." Scribbling down in intense speed, I broke out a sweat at the amount of food he's ordered.

"Damn... for a young skinny boy, you sure can eat.. haha.." Once I finished jotting the list of food down, I was about to swipe the menu book out, but decided against it.

After bringing out half of his dishes, I noticed he has downed his gin and tonic, to which he ordered another of the same drink.

"Okay, half of it will be brought out--" He gripped my wrist, preventing me from moving, he hiccuped, "Say, you look awfully familiar.. "

Rolling my eyes, I said, "Yes I'm in your dreams. Now eat." Wrenching my hand off of him, I went on to start concocting his drink.

"Ahaha... since you're a dream-" he chomped on the lobster meat, "I really like this girl. She's a crush, even. Her black hair is so immaculate, people misunderstood her as a rebel..but..one day, I saw her feeding an abandoned kitty on the side of the road.."

I halted halfway, looked at my dyed dark brown hair, ears perked up at his statement, "She would go there everyday after school, and it's not like I'm stalking her. We both went to the same school, and.." I slid a glass of water for him to wash down the meat he's consumed.

"I saw her feeding this kitten everyday, she would say--" he chuckled from the memory, "Your owner may have abandoned your ass, but I won't. I will feed you till you are old enough to survive.."

Hm...strange

"She must really be something. You're an adult now and you still remember her?" I joked with him lightly.

He hiccuped again but took another bite of his food, "She's someone special and dear to me. I had to move at some point during high school, I haven't seen her since then."

I bit my lips, "Did you also misunderstood her?"

He shook his head, "No, I didn't believe the gossip people say about her. Why should I judge someone without knowing them personally?"

"You're a nice kid," I noted, smiling a bit, "You'll find her, don't worry."

His dark brown eyes reflected my light ones, sincerely looking at me, "I hope so too."
