Chapter 13

About a week ago I took a test without knowing it to become one of Slenderman's proxies. We aren't sent on missions much but when we are sent on the missions they are hard and last for a while. We are normally sent in groups of two or more every now and then we are sent out on missions alone. 

I was sitting in my room with the door locked and I had my music playing. I was looking for my swords when I heard a knock at my door I walked over and opened it. Toby was standing there. He didn't say anything so I left my door open and walked away and over to my closet. I had more important things to do other than look at his face like find my swords which weren't in their holders for some reason. 

"Hey (Y-Y/N)," he stuttered.

"What?," I snapped at him.

"I was told to tell you your swords are downstairs being cleaned and sharpened," I didn't say anything and just ran towards my door, "And Slendy needs to talk to you me and Joe before we are allowed to get our weapons,". 

I grabbed his arm and pulled him to Joe's room and banged on his door. He opened up and ran his hand through his hair. I grabbed his arm with my other arm and dragged both of them. I ran into slender's room and threw them forward. I slammed the door and glared at Slender man who just growled in return. I looked at his desk to see he was working on something and I messed him up. I stood a little taller and gave him a smug smile. 

I sat on Joe's lap, "I want my swords,". 

"Yes well I have your next mission," he said. 

"What is it," Joe asked. 

"You all are going to be going to high school,".

I said nothing and just walked out of the room. I walked into my room and opened the window. I put my body out the window and stood up so I could pull myself onto the roof. I hadn't been up here in forever but now I really needed some alone time. I put my hoodie on the ground, laid back and closed my eye. I was up there for about 10 minutes before someone came up. I knew they were coming from another room so I got up and climbed back in my room. I sat on my bed then decided to start looking for an outfit I was patrolling the woods later. When I opened my closet I saw 5 black short skirts, 5 black ties, and 5 white long sleeve jackets. 

I was gonna take a wild guess and say the school we are going to is a private school. I rolled my eyes and pushed them to the very back of my closet. I grabbed my black hoodie and put on a black pair of skinny jeans. I pulled out a random pair of converse and saw another random pair of black shoes. I threw them out of my closet and ran downstairs. 

I was in the kitchen was Joe walked in. He put his head on my shoulder. I turned around and he picked up his head. He had a sad smile on his face. I walked to the fridge and pulled out two water bottles. I threw one to Joe and kept one for myself. I sat at the table and just looked at my hands. Joe broke me out of my thoughts. 

"(Y/N), don't worry about school it'll be different from last time.," he assured me, "this time I won't be the one making fun of you. I'll be the one protecting you,". 

I lifted my head and looked at him. I gave him a weak smile and stood up. I started to go to my room when I was called back into Slender man's office. I walked in and sat down. 

"Don't get too comfortable," he said, "You, Joe, Toby, and Masky are all going to be moving into a house out in the human world,".

"Why and why is Masky coming too,".

"Someone needs to be like a father. Children don't just live on their own and afford to go to a school like that," he said matter of factly, "and we are recruiting so what I need to happen is that you get close to the girl and get her to trust you. This mission could take up until you finish high school, so get used to life in the human world,".

"Wait so I'm not going to be a proxy anymore?".

"You will still get other missions but the time that you have to get them done will be much shorter then what you're used to,". 

"Good,". 

"Go pack because you guys are leaving soon,". 

I got up and walked out. I went to my room and sat at my desk. I looked around and thought about how much I was going to miss this place.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating as much as I should I have been really busy with school practices and now I have a job so I have that to juggle too. I write whenever I can. I've been working on this chapter for a while now and it's finally done. Thank you all so much for your support.
