It was awkwardly silent as the two men packed up Antonio's car with the boxes of Lovina's stuff, well it was until Ludwig broke the awkward silence to ask an awkward question.

"If you don't mind me asking, how do put up with Lovina? I've been living with her and Feliciana for a while and she's so moody. Always yelling, throwing insults, and the name calling." Ludwig balled his fists in anger.

"That's all for show, deep down Lovi isn't like that at all. She's just afraid of being hurt. I didn't fall in love with her ability to come up with the nastiest insults. I didn't fall in love with her gorgeous physique. I fell in love with how she treated every student like they were her own child. Look at how she is with Mateo, that's what I fell in love with." Antonio slid the last box into the trunk and closed the trunk.

"You have your Italian, I have mine." Ludwig chuckled. "Good luck with dealing with Lovina's mood swings... they're very intense..." Ludwig looked like he was having a stressful flashback.

Antonio decided that it was best not to ask. He knew Lovina wasn't Ludwig's biggest fan, so maybe she was more prone to mood swings when he was around? Hopefully?

"Tomato bas- I mean, Toni! My feet hurt, give me a foot rub." Lovina order the second Antonio walked inside.
"What's the magic word?" Mateo giggled.
"Please." Lovina sighed but was willing to do it for Mateo's sake.
"Alright, Feli can you get me some lotion?" Antonio asked.

Antonio liked to think of himself as an expert in foot massages. When Carmen was pregnant with Mateo, her feet would get swollen and she often needed foot massages. So being the good husband he was, he learnt how to give the best foot rubs in that he possibly could.

Lovina slipped off her shoes to reveal her red swollen feet. Antonio took the vanilla scented lotion that Feliciana had brought and started to work his magic.
"Dio Mio! That feels good!" Lovina shouted.

Lovina noticed how confused Mateo was so she decided to tickle him.

"Hahahaha! No! Hahahaha! Stop tickling me!" Mateo giggled.
"Nope! I'm the tickle monster! Raaaah!" Lovina laughed as she tickled Mateo mercilessly.

Antonio smiled at this sight. His two favourite people in the world got along perfectly. His family was almost complete.

"Thank you... for the foot rub." Lovina awkwardly thanked she wasn't used to this but she wanted to set a good example for Mateo.

Even though she had only been introduced as Antonio's girlfriend yesterday, she really felt like part of the family. The child she had lost all those years ago would have been around Mateo's age; a little older but very close.

Lovina was starting to notice little things about Mateo; the little things that parents notice about their kids. He was very clingy and protective, just like his puppy of a father. He was missing one of his bottom teeth, but it was only noticeable when he smiled. Lovina had always thought he was a spitting image of his father but she was starting to notice some differences, Mateo didn't have his father's nose and he had little freckles on his cheeks.

"I love you, Lovina! I'm so glad you're going to be my new mommy!" Mateo gave a bear hug to Lovina.
"I'm glad too." Lovina smiled.

"Papá join the group hug!" Mateo shouted.
"Alright, I'm coming." Antonio chuckled.

"Lovina when are you going to introduce me to the other people here?" Mateo asked.
"Sorella! How dare you not properly introduce me to my nephew!" Feliciana shouted from the kitchen.

Lovina didn't want to say in front of Mateo that Feliciana wasn't officially his Aunt because she and Antonio weren't married, but she was having his kid and they were dating. And besides the kid was too young to understand the complicatedness of the relationship.

"Mateo this is my twin sister Feliciana, this is my younger sister Rosaria, this is Feliciana's fiancé, Potato Ba- I mean Ludwig." She felt so weird by calling Ludwig by his actual name.

"Lovina, please just call me Potato basta-" Ludwig was interrupted by Feliciana's hand going in front of his mouth.
"No swearing in front of the bambino!" Feliciana shouted.

"Tomato ba- I mean Antonio, I think we should head back soon before a fight breaks out or something." Lovina yawned.
"Yeah, and it's getting close to Mateo's bedtime. Mateo go say your goodbyes." Antonio instructed.

"Bye-bye Bisnonno!" Mateo jumped into Roma's arms.
"Goodbye, Bambino. Oh, I'm going to miss you." Roma gave a big bear hug to Mateo.

As Mateo moved on to the Vargas sisters, Roma gestured to Antonio.
"Well Fernandez Carriedo, you better be good to my granddaughter." Roma threatened.
"I swear on both Mateo and the unborn child's life," Antonio whispered the part about the unborn child because he didn't want Mateo to hear.

"I hope for both our sakes you don't break that promise." Roma chuckled.
