TREY POV

After a year in jail, I made the 3.4 million bail to get out of that bitch.  I don't even remember raping Kasem, much less infecting her with HIV. I tested positive during lock-up and I can live a healthy life nonetheless. I was celebrating with my friends and family my freedom as a free man, but I saw the same detectives from my first arrest.

Detective Albright: I've been waiting on this.

Me: You ain't got nothing better to do, huh mami?

Detective Albright: You don't watch the news, do you?

Me: Nah, I'm too busy grinding.

Detective Albright: You'll be the one getting grinded in prison. Kasem Kain was a sick girl, but she's gonna get justice.

Detective Muldgren: Your HIV made her that way. 

Mumma: What are you getting at?

Detective Muldgren: Kasem Kain died two weeks ago from AIDS. 

Detective Albright: Under the law, that makes you responsible for her death.

Me: SHE AIN'T DEAD!

Detective Muldgren: We attended her funeral, she's gone. Tremaine Neverson, you are under arrest for the death of Kasem Kain. You  have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you.

Once I got to speak with a lawyer, I was charged with the following: Criminal transmission of HIV, criminally negligent homicide, aggravated rape, and depraved indifference. Bail was out of the question and because Kasem's death was public knowledge, I was placed in P.C.

Man, all the punani that made me feel good isn't compared to how bad I feel at this very moment.
