Bellamy

clarke, finn and Monty had gone missing yesterday afternoon. for all we knew they were dead, three more of us to go missing in the woods. at the rate we were going, everyone would be dead soon if they kept leaving the camp walls. everyone wants to go out and search and i can't stop them, but i sure as hell won't be the one carrying the dead bodies back, i made that clear when we were out minning the fox-holes.

i stood in the drop ship looking over the makeshift map of our location. if there was going to be an attack, we were going to need to cover all the possible weak points we might have with our limited ammo. i grew frustrated when a muffled groan came from myles, the boy that disappeared with clarke and finn, but somehow was found unlike the others.

the jasper walked in, clearly nervous. i could see in his eyes he was gonna ask to go out, just like the others had been begging for.

"don't you think i want to go after them too?" i asked, breaking the silence.

"if it was you out there don't you think monty, clarke, or finn would be hide behind these walls?" i looked away knowing his words spoke truer than belief. even so, their actions would cost them their lives, more than need be.

"no. they'd go after me, then they'd be dead too." jasper rolled his eyes about to protest but i didn't allow him. "i am doing what i think is right for the group."

he walked past, brushing my shoulder in the process. "that's funny, you didn't think that way when octavia went missing." he murmured, just loud enough for me to hear.

"and look what happened then. three dead, two injured. you didn't seem to say anything when ryder left, but monty disappears and you're fine sending a whole search party for him?!"

after learning how much she cared for the two of the boys, it bothered me that they didn't seem to care very much when she was gone.

"monty disappeared! and ryder, she left because she couldn't stand listening to your stupid orders anymore!" he barked, throwing his gun on the table and walking towards the ladder. "i just wish i thought about joining her."

"where are you going?" i pulled on his arm slightly so he would be facing my direction.

"more gunpowder for your mindfield... sir." he added with a mocking salute. his voice was shaky and his eyes tearing up. he climbed up the ladder, shutting the hatch behind with a loud slam, leaving me to mull over his words.

maybe i was playing favorites, but i'm still trying to do what's best for the group. even if they hate me for it, them living today means we have more to fight tomorrow when the grounders come, we'll need everybody we can get.

"water... please, water." the injured miles pleaded from behind as he lied on a table, barely audible.

"i'll get you some." i say knowing im the only one present to take his request.

after a short walk over to the tent with the water tap, i filled a small cup with the clear liquid and began back over to the dropship. before making it back, a voice sounds over the radio.

"okay, okay. it's cool."

"no, it's not. you know what will happen if you tell bellamy."
