"OW!" I screamed. "SIA! WHAT THE HELL! Your pulling my head off!" she was combing my hair and we were getting ready for the party. Vanessa had insisted on dressing me up. We had each bought nice dresses from the mall last night. After that run-in with Scott, we had gone into the store next door and found the perfect party dresses, which was surprising since we were both so picky. Mine was a bit out of my comfort zone since it was really short and tight but Sia really liked it on me and I am trying new things, so I bought it.

"Are you done yet?" I frowned. It has been one hour and Sia was still tugging at my hair.

"Actually, yes" she squealed excitement evident in her tone. I bet she was having the time of her life dressing me up "Go look at the mirror! But are you sure you don't want me to put ANY make-up on?" she added hopefully.

I gave her the "yes-I'm-sure" nod as I walked over to the mirror and took in my appearance. I had on a really tight white dress that reached mid-thigh. It had a simple figure and a small design across the top. I liked it because despite its length and tightness, it somehow seemed sporty and casual. Nothing too fancy. My hair was straight and then turned into small curls toward the bottom giving it a little bounce. I looked different, but I didn't mind. I was determined to prove Sia and Devon that they were wrong. Vanessa stood next to me beaming at her hard work. She on the other hand was wearing a mini dress with no back. It was pink at the top and black at the bottom. It hugged her curves perfectly and her hair was tied up so her back would show. That dress showed too much skin for me, but Sia seemed to be pulling it off great! (A/N: you can see the two dresses in the media on the right, but keep in mind that the girls wearing the dresses are not Leah and Vanessa, they are just presenting them.)

"Ready?" sia asked. "Yup" I breathed, "let's get this over with." Vanessa giggled at my attitude and dragged me downstairs where Devon was waiting for us. He was also going to the party, dressed in casual clothes and running shoes. Typical Devon I thought.

His eyes widened as soon as he saw Vanessa and I. "wow" he signed. "You guys look so weird."

"Hey!" sia scolded him. "That's not what you say to a girl!" "No wonder you don't have a date" she added a bit quieter.

"Sorry" he blushed, "I meant, you both look beautiful" he said with a smile "now let's go, we're late" he added.

"Alright" I mumbled punching him as I walked past. "you don't look too bad yourself sneaker boy" We both laughed and headed out to Devon's car.

Scott's house was close to mine since many people from our school lived in my neighborhood. As soon as we got there, I heard the music blasting, and could see so many people crowded in the garden outside and through the windows of the house. I had not been to a party in so long, and this was crazy!

"AWESOME!" Sia shrieked making me wince as she ran past me and into the house.

"Wow, what a great friend" I rolled my eyes and decided that I was on my own for now since even Devon went to get us a drink.

I walked through the door and looked around for someone I knew, not that I talked to many people. My eyes scanned the crowd and landed on no other than Jake, another member of Scott's squad, and by default a jerk. I quickly looked away but was too late since he saw me and was coming over here. "God! What do those guys want from me?" I whispered to myself. They have been appearing out of nowhere these past few days!
