"I'M OPEN!!" I shouted across the court. We were playing basketball after the whole movie incident and I was paired up with Scott against Alec and Jake. Scott was on my team because Alec thought that he should reward me for fighting Amanda. When is he ever going to give it a rest?!
"Leah!" yelled Scott as he passed me the ball, and both Alec and Jake ran at me to take it away. I dribbled it as fast as I can and took my best shot. The ball rolled around the ring and fell inside. "Yes!" I celebrated as I did a mini victory dance. The guys seemed dumbfounded for a second but then resumed to their normal state and continued to play. I scored about three more baskets (one of which was a three pointer) and then it started to get dark.
"We should go" I said as I watched the sun start to set.
"Alright" said Alec, "but first let's take some final shots." He added aiming at the basket. It went straight through without touching the ring.
"Cheater" I mumbled.
"Say the person who scored four baskets against the two best players on the team!" he yelled.
I just smiled at him as he passed me the ball so I could take a shot. I aimed and threw the ball but it bounced on the ring and came flying right back at me. It hit my thigh exactly where I had hit it earlier on the table and the sudden force sent pain waves through my leg.
I screamed from the sudden impact and fell. I didn't mean to be dramatic but it really hurt and I figured there was a bruise.
All three guys came running over to me. "Are you okay?" asked Scott. "Yeah" I squeaked.
"Come on" Jake said. "It couldn't hurt that much."
I lifted my leggings to reveal the now purple bruise on my leg and he gasped. "Never mind" he stated.
"Wow" said Alec. "And you were playing basketball like that?"
I giggled and tried standing up. Immediately all three guys lent me their hands for support and I grabbed the first hand I saw which happened to be Alec's. "Thanks" I muttered struggling to balance. We started walking over to the car and I was practically limping so we had to go really slow. Half-way there Alec held up his hands and said "you know what? I can make this much easier for all of us." Then out of no-where I find myself swept off the ground bridal style and carried to the car.
"Hey!" I yelled surprised.
"You can thank me later" was all he said with a smirk.
"Idiot" I said under my breath. But I couldn't help noticing the muscles in his arms and the rock hard abs underneath his jersey as he carried me.
When we got to the car, he put me down and said "you have reached you final destination."
I laughed and punched his shoulder. "ow!" he yelled "is that my thank you? God! You really need to stop hitting people."
"Shut up! That punch doesn't hurt someone who probably has abs."
"Are you two done?" a voice cut in. Scott and Jake were already in the car waiting for us.
"Yes Scotty" I said mimicking Amanda.
He glared at me and I just shrugged my shoulders as the other two laughed.
