3rd PoV

Maybe it would have gone different if Cas' day had been slightly off, or Dean hadn't finished in time, but it was perfect. The second that Dean closed the front door a taxi pulled up in front of the house. A trench coated figure slid out of the car after paying the cabbie and walked to the front door. The wind that the cab made driving away rustled Cas' hair a little bit, making his casual sex hair even more hot, at least that's what Dean was thinking. Castiel stopped at the front door, kneeling down next to the Easter basket. Although it was filled to the brim wit chocolate and tissue paper the trench cost colored card stuck out. Cas read it to himself and rolled his eyes.

Look by the ice to find another slice. Keep your basket with you for the entire time.

Bad rhymes, that had to be Dean. For a moment Cas considered the idea of Dean waiting at the end with a ring, but it quickly melted away when he remember how many times Cas'd given Dean an Easter present and Dean hadn't given Cas one. He was probably just trying to make up for it. After putting away his things and slipping on jeans and then his beloved coat again he went to the freezer to find the clue. Inside it was a plastic egg. It was green, like Dean's eyes. Inside there were more chocolates and another note. Once he'd dumped the chocolate into the basket he read the note.

I'd sleep pretty well, if he we didn't have this bell!

Cas smiled to the side, the cow bell he rang every morning. The hunt went on like that all around the house and the yard, eggs and notes. Cas'd already eaten half the chocolate by the time be found the last clue.

Flowers and bees, Cas' favorite spot

The brunette could do nothing, but run to the arbor in the backyard, where Dean was waiting with open arms.

Dean's PoV

I smiled into Cas' hair and hugged him tight. When we finally let go of each other he was frowning.

"What was it all for?" he asked, gesturing to the basket by his feet.

"Nothing, just you," I said coyly.

"If you think you're being clever... you are, I don't know what's going on."

"Don't worry about it! You wanna trade that basket for something better?" I asked, smiling. This was where it was going to happen. The lavender was in full bloom and there were butterflies and bees. Personally I liked the butterflies, but Cas... well he was special.

"No... I think I will keep the Cadbury," Cas decided.

"Awe, c'mon Cas! It's better than the chocolates! I promise!" I exclaimed. He looked at me suspisiously and handed me a basket. In that moment I realized what was finally happening and my pocket went heavy. I fixed that by pulling out the velvet Easter egg from my pocket and getting down on one knee. Cas' eyes went wide and he covered his mouth in order to not cry.

"Cas, I've known you for what seems like forever and we've literally gone through hell, purgatory, and heaven together. Here we are with a normal house and a normalish life and its all I've ever wanted. So will you share it with me forever and be my husband?" He was in a mental shock and he giddily nodded and jumped up and down. After I slipped the ring onto his finger he grabbed the collar of my... well his... tux and kisses me hard.

"I love you, Dean."

"I love you more."
