Going to school is still an iffy feeling for me. On one hand, it's my ticket out of the life I have and onto a better one. On the other hand, I'm 17 years old and waking up at five a.m. to attend seven classes I hate isn't exactly how I want to spend the youthful years of my life. The only good thing about school is that it comes with the opportunity to make great friends. The people who have your back. The ones you could potentially have this sibling like bond for the rest of your life. I'm lucky for all the friends I do have.

"NIDA! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!" Ariel screeches.

I take back everything I just said.

Ariel and I stand at her locker, talking and waiting for the hell bell to ring. We are actually having a good conversation until "Nunca adivinarás lo que Chris hizo por mí el sábado. (You will never believe what Chris did for me on Saturday.)" Everytime she gets to talking about her novío, it gets super cheesy and really gross romantic, causing me to tune out. I love that she's in love, but come on: no one wants to hear about your great relationship all the time, best friend.

Focusing back on Ariel, I shake my head 'no' and sling my bag over my shoulder. She rolls her eyes, flips her hair, and grabs her bag too. The hell bell will be ringing any minute now. "So rude." She mumbles. I smile and put my arm over her shoulder, pulling her in slightly.

"Me amas. (You love me)" I say cheekily. She just growls and keeps starts to walk to our class.

"Not for much longer."

"What are you guys talking about?" A deep voices says from behind us, making us scream. Spinning around, it just Chris and Daniel smiling like they did nothing wrong. I angrily cross my arms and Ariel stomps her foot, knitting her eyebrows together.

"Que te pasa?!" She practically yells, and I huff to show I'm on her side. Chris' smile turns into a smirk and he opens his arms to her.

"Aww, it looks like I don't have a happy girlfriend. Come here." Ariel puts her arms in front her, trying to make it so he can't hug her. That doesn't stop Chris, making him just walk closer towards her and she eventually is entrapped in his arms. They start to mutter things to each other and within seconds she's laughing and has a smile on her face. They are so cute together, I'm so glad that something happened between them. Everything is just working out for them and I hope that could be me with someone someday.

Suddenly, my arm is grabbed and I'm yanked. When I look up, Daniel is looking down at me, his arms around my waist. "Hey." He says. I can feel my face starting to blush, and I look around in the hallway, seeing how crowded it is. Slowly, I try to detach myself from Daniel. We're not a thing and I don't want rumors to be spread. However, my attempts aren't as successful as I would like them to be.

"Daniel let go, there are people here." I whisper aggressively, but he doesn't budge.

"Don't care." And then he pulls me closer to him. "Let them see." As much as I want to give in, I continue to protest.

"Let me gooo!" I groan, pushing on his chest. His freaking abs are rock hard, so I know he's strong. Football must really be a good workout. I have never been to one of his games, now that I'm thinking about it. Giving up on breaking free, I stand there and look at him. Gosh, he's so handsome. His face is almost perfect, and his dark hair and eyes make him that much more beautiful. Daniel hair is tousled, and his eyes are boring down on me. "Why haven't I been to one of your games?" I ask. Daniel's face lights up like a Christmas tree and a smile approaches fast.

"We have one tonight! Wanna go? Do ya?" He says, as if he's a 5 year old boy on Christmas. I chuckle and smile at him.

"Hell yeah."
