(Y/n) stood on the bottom staircase inside the main castle room, waiting patiently for the doors before her to open. There was still time before the ceremony started which meant things were still being put together. Even her siblings still had to finish up certain things for the event. Needless to say, the whole castle was still busy.
The second the doors cracked open the slightest, she hurried over to them, holding her dress up a bit so she wouldn't trip.
By the time they opened completely, she had already raced into the arms of the Hylian who stepped back shocked. He guessed he shouldn't have been too overly surprised since he was invited to the castle as Princess (Y/n)'s special guest. He was crossing his fingers earlier that she'd be there to greet him, that way, he wouldn't have to run into any of her other family members first.
"I'm so glad you made it. It's been almost two weeks since we've last seen each other," the Princess smiled, burring her face in Link's chest.
"I'm glad to be here. I've missed you," Link didn't hesitate to hug her back, almost forgetting about the knights who stood by, staring at the two in disapproval.
"Come, I have a lot to tell you. I've requested for some tea in the parlor," (Y/n) took the Hylian's hands, leading him away.
He followed without question, admiring the cleanest of the castle. Nothing failed to glitter, showing the hard work the maids put into tidying up the palace.
Just like (Y/n) had said, there was a fresh pot of tea on the parlor table, two cups set beside it. Instead of sitting across from each other, the two sat together, pushing the awkwardness of not seeing each other for a while aside.
"You look beautiful. Is that a new dress?" Link asked, studying the yellow fabric (Y/n) wore.
"Yep. The maids made each of my family members a new outfit for the ceremony."
"It seems everyone is excited for today. I would have thought there'd be a lot of fights out judging on how everyone acted 10 days ago."
"I thought so too, but I think it some of it has to do with the fact that the H.R.F. has agreed to help out. Hylians are trusting this whole thing more due to it, at least."
"The H.R.F. is helping? I didn't know they agreed."
"They did. Princess Zelda sent a letter herself saying she'd come. I can't wait!"
Link looked down at his tea, asking," how do you know the H.R.F. anyways? When I first met them, they said the royal family didn't know they existed."
(Y/n) frowned, staring at the ground," I'd rather not talk about it...if that's alright..."
"Of course," Link nodded quickly, setting the tea cup on the table which (Y/n) copied," I'm glad your father agreed to all of this. It means that today, we can be together without worry."
