This story takes place after the events of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn.

After Maeve, a Valg Queen, locked Aelin Ashryver Galathynius in a iron coffin, she brings her to Doranelle for her own purposes.

In the other side of the world, Aelin's court fights against Erawan's Valgs, while Rowan searches for his queen.

Will they find each other, or will fate separate them both?
