"Come, dear children, we shall show you the Tale Of Shadowed Sun." Rising Sun said with a small smile, stepping aside to reveal a small stream that disappeared into the trees.
Bellypaw looked down the stream in excitement. Sandpaw looked more surprised than Bellypaw, looking at Rising Sun as if she was a frightened kit. Rising Sun turned around and walked down the stream, followed by Dark Shadow. With a swish of Rising Sun's sleek tail, she disappeared into the trees, slowly followed by Dark Shadows.
"Shouldn't our dream end here, since they just went into the forest?" Bellypaw asked Sandpaw, looking out into the trees.
"No, it has just begun. Follow." Sandpaw meowed, then walked up the stream, vanishing into the trees.
Bellypaw hesitated: Was he really going to do this? He wasn't a medicine cat, after all.
He took a deep breath, ran through the stream. His paws thrummed against the icy water, and he felt unusually wild and energetic. Suddenly, he felt like he had run through a waterfall, then looked around cautiously. Beside him stood Rising Sun and Dark Shadows at his other side. Sandpaw stood next to Rising Sun.
"They cannot hear us or see us, or even feel us if we walk through them, let us follow the young version of me and Dark Shadows." Rising Sun mewed, looking around her.
In front of them, cats bustled around, busy at work. Cats were everywhere! It looked like a gathering, but all as one Clan.Rising Sun-the younger one- stood next to the young Dark Shadow. A few cats padded past them, with few bits of prey in their mouths. Bellypaw caught bits of their conversation.
"...I mean, even Swift Feet couldn't catch a rabbit this big!" A ginger tabby she-cat boasted as she walked by, hauling a huge rabbit almost her size.
"Swift Feet would use your pelt for a nest if he heard you say that, Whistling Heather. Respect your clanmates!" A brown tabby elder called from her den then settled down again.
"That is Prickly Nettle, my mother." Dark Shadows mewed form Bellypaw's right, looking at the tabby elder with love in his eyes.
Rising Sun nodded, but her gaze was fixed up to herself and the other Dark Shadows. They were sharing a squirrel, each of them looking awfully cheerful compared to the present pair. Dark Shadows caught Rising Sun's eye and looked away.
(ASGORE AND TORIEL 101!!!!!!! Didn't even mean to make it like this, but oh well!)
"Now children, this was what the Clans were like when we were the leaders of every cat." Rising Sun mewed, walking up to herself and looking down with sorrow.
"This is what life was like. Let's see into further in time." Dark Shadows mewed, and with a swish of his tail, they were now in the forest, with no cats except Rising Sun and Dark Shadows.
They both looked angry, and Rising Sun's eyes were brimming with tears. Dark Shadows looked furious, and his blue eyes blazed like greenleaf fires.
"No... not this again." The Rising Sun next to Bellypaw whimpered, staring down at the live cats.
"I can't believe you! You want to fight badgers to 'save' us all? How mouse-brained are you?" Dark Shadows yowled, towering over Rising Sun.
"It's not my fault you want us all to die! Be a hero, not a coward, you fox-heart!" Rising Sun snapped, her amber eyes still brimming with glistening tears.
Dark Shadows's eyes darkened, and his heart broke. Instead of sadness, Dark Shadows filled with more rage than Bellypaw would ever know.
"It's over! I'm taking my part of the Clan, and you can't do anything about it! You are not the cat I once loved." Dark Shadows stomped away, leaving Rising Sun alone.
"I'm taking my half then! Goodbye and good riddance!" Rising Sun yowled into the trees were Dark Shadows had gone.
Rising Sun flung herself into the lush grass, tears running down her cheeks. So the Clans fate was determined by Rising Sun and Dark Shadows, and they separated along with their Clans.
"I'm s-sorry children, I cannot stay here much longer, it has too many horrid memories." Rising Sun sniffed, a tear running down her cheek.
Bellypaw blinked, and now they were in a different forest, surrounded by pines.
"Is this ShadowClan?" Sandpaw asked, looking around the dense pines in interest.
"Indeed. The camp back then, now it looks different." Dark Shadows nodded, looking at the cats below him.
