"We separated, taking half of the Clan with us. But about a quarter from each of our groups refused to remain in one half, so they went with each other, forming their own Clan." Rising Sun murmured, gazing down in the clearing of splitting cats.

"At first, the four Clans were named Oakleaf, Pineneedle, Tallgrass, and Rushingbeech." Dark Shadows added, pointing to each group with a claw. "I was the leader of Pineneedle. Rising Sun's Clan was Rushingbeech."

"That was then when we met more cats. Specifically Thunder, Shadow, Wind, and River." Rising Sun explained, pointing to the four cats standing together. "They took over as leaders, and they brought more cats in, so we were officially the four Clans of the lake. We were unhappy to be named ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, and WindClan, but we were just happy we were living a fulfilling life."

A group of small stars clustered together then exploded apart. Rising Sun blinked sadly.

"Is there a main lesson to this story?" Sandpaw asked, looking at the cats in awe.

They were all doing strange stuff that Bellypaw had never seen before. Some cats were stalking forwards with their hind legs in the air, carrying prey in their mouths. Bellypaw noticed that the cats carrying the prey like that were apprentices.

"What are they doing?" Sandpaw gasped, looking disapprovingly at the apprentices.

"Prey walk! It's a game that the apprentices play. It improves their balance, and for an addition, is very fun!" Dark Shadow answered warmly, looking at the apprentices as if he was about to do a prey walk.

Bellypaw stared at the apprentices for a bit longer. Suddenly, there was a small hiss behind him. he looked back. It was Dewpaw! She was from his time, so he was extremely confused.

"What are you doing here?" Bellypaw breathed, dropping back from the cats, coming up next to Dewpaw.

"I was going to the moonpool, and I saw you and Sandpaw, so I started dreaming next to you, and now I'm here." Dewpaw breathed back, her calico colored torishell fur rustling uneasily.

"Stay right here." Bellypaw whispered, then crept forward next to Rising Sun again, casting a cautious glance over his shoulder.

"The meaning of this story is to teach kits of the importance of the Clans history." Rising Sun said, then slowly faded, along with Dark Shadows.

Bellypaw opened his eyes, and lifted his cream colored head slowly. He saw Dewpaw stirring beside him, and Sandpaw was already awake.

"Dewpaw, what are you doing here?" Sandpaw asked, looking at Dewpaw with shock and surprise.

"I was seeking advice from StarClan, so I came here," Dewpaw said, standing up and stretching, then added, "Then I found you guys here."

"Well," Sandpaw turned, flicking her tail. "Bellypaw and I are going back to camp."

Bellypaw and Sandpaw left the RiverClan medicine cat standing beside the pool, her searching blue eyes following them.

"What do you have against Dewpaw? She seems like a sweet she-cat." Bellypaw asked Sandpaw after they were back onto ThunderClan territory.

"Looks can be deceiving," Sandpaw grumbled, then flew towards the camp in large leaps, her paws hardly touching the ground.
