Chapter 1
My name is Charlyze and I am a werewolf from the SilverMoon Pack. Let me just brief you about myself. I have a petite frame, about 5'2" with long dark hair and violet eyes. I just graduated from the college and choose to stay in my parents house in the town close to my pack. My parents have left the pack to go back to France where my mother was born. They are now in a different pack but they still contact my alpha to keep tabs on me.
I have a few human friends (college mates) but they know nothing of our existence. I stay away as much as I can from my pack with my Alpha's consent because he knows I am a very shy girl and rarely communicate with other pack members. I do not excel in anything. I am a small brownish-black wolf, not a fast runner, not a good fighter and not even a good cook.
Last Friday, I celebrated my 21st birthday alone in my small house. My Alpha, Hans, sent me a golden bracelet as a gift and I just put in on the vanity in my room. Hans is a great Alpha. He is a considerate guy, not bad looking and pretty much in love with his Luna. His Beta Marc, however, is a hot single guy who likes to flirt with me, like a lot. Ok, so I haven't been exactly telling the truth. Most of the single guys from the pack flirts with me and some might even fight to get my attention. And the Luna doesn't really like me because of that. So that is also a reason why I choose to stay away from the pack and unwanted attention.
I think I am happier living like a normal human being with no rules to abide all the time. My wolf craves companions - true, but she understands what I am dealing with and she is happy with the choice I made. She also never complain about us not finding our mates yet. Some wolves never meet their destined mates and settled down and be married to non-mates. I just hope that I would be lucky enough to find mine.
