NARRATOR'S POV:

"What happened back there!" Evelyn's mother demanded.
"Please miss, this is no time to make her stressed," good cop assured her, then turned to Evelyn.
"We understand that you have these... paranormal powers, and are unable to control them, mi-"
"Am I gonna get tested on?!" Evelyn interrupted.
Both officers looked at each other as if they knew something was up, and it made Evelyn unsettled,
"Please, I need to know, what's going to happen!?"
Good cop answered the question with another question,
"Are you willing to learn how to control your powers?"
Evelyn was confused, how could he be so understanding of the situation.
Good cop was obviously able to see that she was confused.
"My son here, has powers just like you do"
He gestured to the other cop sitting with them.
"This is Josh. He doesn't have plasma powers, but he can move objects with the willness of his mind!"
"Don't lie to me," Evelyn yelled, "do you think this is a joke!"
"Of course not! Joshua, why don't show them!" The cop said.

Before she knew it, the chair beneath her pulled itself out from underneath the table. She didn't get time to react, and fell off, onto the hard cold floor.
Josh stood up and gave a little bow, to ensure everyone knew that it was his actions.
Evelyn, got back up onto the chair. She was upset, and annoyed, but thankful and relieved at the same time. She had mixed emotions, and didn't know how to feel about it. All she knew was that she wanted to go back in time and stop everything from happening. Stop the electric burst... stop the bullies... stop her birth!
She wanted to close herself into a box and lock herself away from civilization.
Good cop interrupted her thoughts, "So, back to what I said before, are you wanting to learn to control your powers?"
Evelyn gave him a stare, she didn't know what it looked like, nor did she care.
"Yeah... why not" she heartlessly said.
She didn't care anymore, nothing could make her feel more lonely than how she felt right now. There was nothing to lose.
