EVELYN'S POV:

I now found myself in the back seat of my mother's car. Neither of us had said anything to each other the whole way. We were following the police car in front of us, not having any idea where we were going.
After several hours of driving, we came to a stop, outside a grey stone wall, that didn't seem to end.
My mother and I sat in the car and waited in silence.
Both officers got out of the car, which had been parked in front of us, and came to my mother's window.
"We need you to stay in the car please miss," good cop looked over to me, "Evelyn you can come with us".
I clipped off my seatbelt, and got out of the car.
I was following them again, but this time, I was in control. It wasn't my mum driving anymore.
I could've ran off at any time I wanted. I could've been free, and go miles away from here, but something was saying to go fourth. I had a gut instinct telling me to keep going.
We came to the gate of the big wall, and Josh opened it, then held it open for his father and I.
When I walked past him, I politely mumbled, "Thank you," and he bowed his head.
The place beyond the wall was a real life dream. It had an amazing and breath taking building that was probably thousands of stories tall. Beautiful gardens with flowers of all sorts, and birds everywhere, chirping their own delicate songs. I felt like I was a princess in her palace.
For the first time in my life I felt like somebody.
"Welcome to your new school!" Said good cop, "This is where Josh came to learn how to control himself, and his gifts, and that is what you are here for as well".
I was confused. How could a place as beautiful as this be a school?
"I'm sorry, did I miss something, or did you just say school?"
"I sure did!" Good cop giggled, "I'll go and tell the office that you have arrived. Everything is set for you, just make yourself at home!"
"How am I supposed to?" I asked, "Where do I go?"
"Joshua!" His voice snapped Josh out of whatever day dream that was taking place in his head, "Take her to her assigned room please, I'll meet up with you guys later, okay?"
Josh sharply nodded and began walking. I waved goodbye at the officer and began to follow him.
Nothing had ever made me more excited in my entire life than this moment, this was my moment, and nothing could ruin it!
