EVELYN'S POV:

The teacher looked at me. I didn't know what that stare looked like, but it made me unsettled.
"Who are you?" The teacher asked.
"M-my name is Evelyn," I shyly replied.
"Well, hello, my name is Mrs Jamie. Come and join us, and don't be late again, or there shall be consequences!"
I quickly nodded, and stood next to Emily.
"Now. Welcome back to a new year," Mrs Jamie went on, "as you can see, there are a couple of new people who have joined us, we need to make them feel welcome and treat them nicely."
I felt kind of relieved that I was not the only one who had never been at this amazing, but strange place before. I didn't feel as lonely.
"So, first we are going to have all our new students come up and show us what they can do," said Mrs Jamie, "Then everyone else can show me what you practiced over the holidays".
Emily gave me a nudge forwards and I went forth.
I didn't want to go first, but Mrs Jamie had already seen me.
"Thank you, Evelyn, for volunteering to go first. So, what gifts have you got?"
I knew that my kind of power was the rarest of any kind, but I was worried because I couldn't see any obstacles that would help me undertake this task.
I decided to answer with another question,
"Have you got anything for electronic activity?"
Everyone gasped, and Mrs Jamie's face went white.
"Are you sure?" She asked
I made a noise of approval.
It was silent for a second. The teacher was staring me up and down with her pale face.
"Over there is a shock absorber that you may be able to use safely," her voice was trembling, "but I am not sure how well it will work".
Without hesitation, I walked over to the middle if the room, took a deep breath, hoping that my messed up mind would let me get through this.
I flinched my arms in the direction of the target, but nothing happened. I tried again, still nothing. A few more attempts were put in, but I couldn't seem to make it happen.
Then I gave up. I let out a noise of anger, and punched the air.
That was where I knew I'd stuffed up, because after I had calmed down, I realized that electric bolts had gone with the fist's movement, and had zapped the room to trash.
I looked behind me, at all of the witnesses. They were all kneeling on the floor, burying their head in their arms.
I caught my breath whilst the bunch of people on the floor stood up.
The teacher brushed herself off, then looked at me with wide eyes.
"Get. Out. OF MY CLASS!" she yelled, "NOW!!"
I stormed out of the room, down the hall, and outside.
The perfect and dreamy place that I had loved so deeply before, had now seemed like a nightmare.
