 CHAPTER 46

MERCY’S POV

He stopped in front of some cabin in the middle of the forest, it looked quite fancy and I was wondering why the heck he took us there, hoping that Harry would call the police and save us. It was so dark; however the splendid lights hung on a few sides of the cabin were shining like starts during the night. The trees were huge and quite scary, making the forest the best place to hide.

“Why are we here?” I asked them, tears rolling down my cheeks still. I glanced at Zach and he squeezed my hand more.

“Shut the fuck up!” Ryan shouted as his hand connected with my cheek, slapping me for the second time. Then he grabbed a handful of my hair and tried to drag me out of the car, Zach began to kick with his legs in a desperate attempt to stop Ryan.

“You son of a bitch!” Tim mumbled as he smacked Zach’s head with a bat, making me yell at the top of my lungs, resisting as much as I could. But it all made everything worse, because they used ductape to cover my mouth, preventing any further shout coming out from me.

And that’s when I knew it was serious, they were seriously about to commit a crime and they weren’t even afraid of getting caught. Basically, they had kidnapped me and my bestfriend, assaulted us and they were about to do a homicide. I looked into Ryan’s eyes, and they were pitch black, evil coming out of them. His eyes were cold, and full of hatred and grudge. He looked determined to get his vengeance by killing all of us. And at that moment, my worry had grown even more inside me, my fear as well. He was capable of doing absolutely anything and there was no way we could escape. Only a miracle could save Zach and I, and probably Harry.

I looked over at Zach and his head was laid on the window, blood crossing through his veins and flesh, streaming down the window, he was completely unconscious and all I could do was hope and pray that he wasn’t dead. I would never forgive myself if dies because of me, he had done nothing but be a spectacular friend. He was innocent but he was getting harmed because of me.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the cabin’s door opening, my eyes had darted instantly toward the door, and I saw the most unexpected person I thought would be involved in all of that chaos. She walked out of the cabin, her eyes fixed on my figure, her red and full lips curving up in a smirk as she noticed my presence, her blonde hair moving in sync with the wind. It was Taylor. I had never thought, in a million years, would she be involved in something that serious. Yeah, I knew she would try her best to separate Harry and I, but never have I thought that she would try anything, even murder to accomplish her goal.

She approached me and looked me in the eyes, with the same stupid smirk on her face. I saw evil in her eyes, as well. She didn’t look fine; she looked as if she were mentally sick, as if she were a psycho.

“Did you think you would get away with what you’ve done?” She asked as her hands moved to my hair, moving it out of my face in the most psychotic way ever.

“I have done nothing but trust you. I thought we were friends, and all you did was backstabbing me.” I said, stopping my tears from rolling down my cheeks even further. If I was going to die, I would die strong, I refused to die looking weak or pathetic. I refused to give them the pleasure and satisfaction to see me in that state. I would at least die with dignity.

“You stole my Harry away from me.” She said, her voice was almost like a whisper. “He was mine and you took him away from me.” She yelled as she kept hitting my body with her hands, hysterically until Tim wrapped his arms around her and pulled her.

“I didn’t steal him, he chose me.” I said, looking at her. “He was never yours, anyway. He was nobody’s, and I am the one he fell in love with. Not you, not Hollie and not anyone else. Harry and I are in love and all of you can do nothing to separate us.” I said, trying to spite Taylor and Ryan.
