a corrupt world

I have never really liked realism ways of writing. I have always thought they were just depressing dream ruiners. I thought those authors were all pesemists who were out to ruin people's hopes and dreams and tell them to "wake up" and "this is the harsh reality of the real world." I used to only like stories with happy endings. I used to be that one person who thinks all dreams come true and that things will always be okay. I have realized I am wrong. There are things in this world that would take a miracle to make perfect. Not everything is a beautiful fairytale that ends with a ride into the sunset. But I also know, I am POSITIVE, that the world is not just a crappy run-down corrupt place. There is still some happiness in the simple things in life. Those 5 seconds someone takes to smell the roses they haven't smelled for ten years, that is called hope. Hope that not all hope is lost. That our world is not so corrupt that it takes away that hope. That happiness still exists, even in the bad things in life. Somewhere out there, a baby is laughing, or a dog is excitedly greeting his owner who just came home from a long day's worth of work. Life is corrupt, but not completely.
