Boisterous laughter sounded throughout the dorm suddenly waking me up out of my slumber.
I slowly opened my eyelids and looked to my right seeing that my roommate decided to let her loud friends come over again.
"That nigga was sexy, Did you see the way his tattoos went down his arm?"
"Yes! He looked at me one time, I almost died!" One squealed.
Instead of going back to sleep, I went ahead and forced myself to get up. It was 2:45 anyways.
The previous night, I was up late with some stuck up cheerleader taking her photos. She scheduled a photoshoot for her party and wanted everything to be perfect.
She complained that I "had bad camera quality" and that I "kept getting her bad side."
First of all, I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. If it has a long name then you know it's credible and expensive.
I worked two jobs during my summer break just to buy a $3,000 camera. Not to mention two limostudio 600 watt lighting.
You see, I take my job seriously unlike those wannabe scrubs that use cheap Sony cameras and call it a day.
Although she complained the whole time, I still got paid. Probably less than I should've due to her nagging.
"Bout time you got up, you still doing my photoshoot?" Kiera, her roommate asked picking at her nails.
I shrugged.
"Depends, am I getting paid?" I asked.
"Duh, I always get you yo money Cam."
"Aight, be ready in an hour." I said and closed the bathroom door to freshen up. Due to it being the weekend, I have no classes to run to which relieves me.
I pulled my wild mane into a quick bun before stepping in the shower.
"You been on my mind ever since
Need ta' relax, sit back and let it sink.
Stimulate our minds away in every kind
And blow the stress away ain't gotta think...
Let's take a trip out to the islands and just lay up.
A private flight up for the night gon take us way up.
Just the two of us, no one else invited, baby jump right in."
I mumbled the words to Ella Mai's song as lathered some shampoo in my scalp."Cam! Hurry up! I got a hair appointment at 5!" Kiera yelled.
"Aight, Damn."
~×~
"Look up for me....yeah that's it." I took a couple shots and smiled, genuinely happy with the photos I was taking.
I always thought Kiera had an interesting taste in style. She always changed her hair color, some thought it was too much but I liked it. It fit her personality.
