When we got to his friend's house, I instantly wanted to leave.

His front yard was packed with cars and you could hear the music bumping from a mile away.

"You don't seem too excited." Chris said as we entered.

"I don't go to a lot of parties."

"What? So you're a goody two shoes then." He teased.

"No, I'd just rather stay home and chill... That's a good enough time for me."

"I feel you on that one, but sometimes it's good to get out and get into some trouble." He said as he stared at some girl walking by.

"I guess... This yo fraternity?"

"Yeah, you got one?" He asked leaning against the wall.

"Nope. I live in a dorm."

"Sucks for you." He chuckled.

"Ahehe hahah." I mocked. Living in a dorm isn't all that bad. You only have to worry about one annoying roommate instead of twelve.

"You should start your own fraternity. I know you got the money for it." I looked at him like he had three heads.

"Who? Not me."

"Shoot as much money I spent on them photos I would think otherwise."

"A nigga gotta eat." I mumbled checking my phone. He instantly snatched my phone from my hands and stuffed it in his pocket.

"You're here to socialize. Not antisocialize." He stated.

"And if I get an important call?"

"Ignore it. Ain't nobody gon call you." I rolled my eyes in annoyance and walked in the kitchen.

"You drink?"

"Uh...I guess it depends on how I'm feeling." I answered grabbing a yoohoo from the refrigerator.

"How you feel?"

"I feel like I don't need to answer that question." I answered.

"Why not?" I shrugged.

"How do you think I feel?" I asked.

"Fine I guess."

"How do you feel?"

"I feel great. Wanna know why?" I motioned for him to go on.

"Cause I convinced you to come to our party."

"I wasn't convinced, I was dragged but okay." I corrected.

Instead of responding, he reached for my hair but I quickly slapped his hand away.

"Ow! Why'd you do that?"

"Don't touch my hair." I simply stated and went back to his living room where everyone else was.

"Why not? I like it."

"One, thanks. Two, I don't let anyone touch my hair. Three, if you try to touch my hair again I'll slap the dog doodoo out ya' mouth." I explained and smiled sweetly as he grimaced.

"That hurts..."

"Don't touch my hair next time." I said looking at the group of people dancing.

I didn't like it.

Everyone was clung to each other's body, grinding against one another. Breaths mixing in with each other's.

I don't like this at all. I cringe every time I see regular Pda, but this is taking it to a whole nother level.

"You wanna dance?"

"Dancing isn't really my thing." He chuckled and grabbed my yoohoo can.

"Let's go dance."

"No and I wasn't finished with my drink."

"Cmon why you don't wanna dance?" He complained.

"I can't dance."

"Everyone can dance. Just move your body."

"Bet you would want to see me move my body."

"C'mon, let's go dance." He said and dragged me where everyone else was dancing at.

He began to dance just like everyone else and it was honestly making me a little uncomfortable. I felt out of place.

"Why did you bring me out here?"

"So you could have fun." He grabbed my hands and waved them around getting a small chuckle out of me.

The song went off and was shortly replaced with a slow jam. Everyone partnered up with someone and danced into their own world...or at least that's what it looked like.

"Don't just stand there looking at everyone else." Chris said and pulled me into his personal space which invaded my personal space which also made me really uncomfortable since I didn't know him that well.

His hands rested on my hips while I awkwardly positioned my hands on his shoulders.

He chuckled followed by sharing his head.

"What?"

"You're so awkward." He said. I scoffed.

"No I'm not. I just didn't expect to dance with you."

"What else do you do at a party?"

"Be a wallflower." I spoke honestly.

"Oh you that kind of person huh?"

"I'm my own kind." I said finally deciding to give him eye contact.

"What does your kind like to do?"

I sighed and thought for moment.

"Take pictures, eat, smoke, draw, write--"

"When's your next photoshoot?"

"Sometime this week... But I'm not taking photos of someone, The school wants me to take pictures of buildings and statues around campus." I answered.

"Cool, text me when you know what day you're doing it on. I gotta go um...see someone right quick." I followed where he was looking and saw a girl with a small pencil skirt on, eyeing us.

"Yeah, I got class in the morning so I better get going." I said pulling away.

"Aight. Give me a call sometime though."

"I don't have your--"

He handed me a folded sheet of paper and slid past me to meet the girl.

The paper had his number in it and his email as well.
..........

Once I got home from the party, I saw Kiera and her ratchet, bum lace front, 12 inch acrylic nails, friends on her bed talking up a storm.

They all stared at me when I closed the door.

"Hey." I muttered. They went back to their conversation and I went to the bathroom to use the shower.

I looked at the number and saved it in my phone as Chris🤑.

I can tell he's a player, that's why I'll keep my distance. Don't have time for those.

He'll make a good friend.

I hope so.
