Camryn Pov~×~
My phone rang waking me out of my sleep, it was Kiera.
"What?" I asked groggily as I sat up beginning to yawn.
"Your keys are on the dresser, why aren't you awake yet?"
"I have afternoon classes, why are you calling me?"
"Cause that football player was asking about you." She said.
"What football player?"
"The one you're supposed to be taking pictures of, duh. What other football player ask about you?"
"Shut up, what he said?" I asked going to the bathroom to get ready.
"He just asked if you were gonna be there."
"Okay. Well, bye." I hung up and sighed looking at the clock. It was 12:45 and I had to take his pictures at 2.
For me, that's not enough time for me to get ready because of the equipment I have to bring.
~×~
I pulled up at the location he gave me and waited.
Hm... interesting taste in background. It was an alley filled with graffiti on the brick walls.
"Camryn?" I turned around having to look up being that I'm short.
"Are you Chris?" I asked. He nodded taking his book bag off.
"Okay, I'll set everything up and we'll get started."
I went back to my car and began to grab everything.
"You need help?" He asked.
"Nah, I'm fine." He watched me struggled a few seconds more before grabbing some stuff out my hands.
"Thanks." I mumbled before setting up the lights.
He sat the stuff down and began looking at my photo book, I didn't mind. I always printed off my own copies and kept them in a book so if anyone wanted to see how good I was, they could look through there.
"Oh, you edit photos too?" He asked.
"Yeah. You see that picture on the upper left?
"Yeah."
"That's not real." I said causing him to frown. It was a picture of some Instagram model and a guy, I photoshopped the picture so it'd look like she was kissing his cheek.
"You lyin'."
"I'm dead serious."
"Shoot, so can you edit my report card?" He asked causing me to laugh.
"That's illegal."
"Editing some ugly dude with a model should be illegal. You could ruin lives if you wanted to." He said.
"I have before..."
"For real?"
"Yeah, my suppose to be friend was secretly spreading rumors about me, so I photoshopped her with some boy I found on Instagram and sent it to her boyfriend. He embarrassed her in front of everyone." I said smiling from the memory.
"Dang, did she find out it was you?"
"Yup. I told her."
"You told her? Why?"
"I told her cause I wanted her to know that if she ever pulled that shit on me again, I could do some dangerous work in a matter or minutes." I explained.
"Minutes." He gave me a look of disbelief.
".....okay hours but you get my point." I set my camera up and looked at him.
He had on a T-shirt with our school logo on it with his letterman jacket.
"You like what you see?" He asked slyly.
I shrugged and gave him a wink.
He chuckled softly and stood against the wall.
"Can you look to your left, and..." I looked in my bag and tossed him a football.
"What you got football for?"
"Just one of my many props for when people don't come ready." I said.
"What you tryna say?"
"Oh nothing." I waved him off and took an off guard picture.
"Okay, put your foot against the wall and look down....close your eyes." He did as told as I took the pictures.
I gazed at the setting and came towards him.
"Hold the football out like this.." I demonstrated and quickly took an up close photo.
"Woah, that flash." He grunted rubbing his eyes.
"How many pictures do you need?"
"Probably just 3."
"Take your jacket off." I said.
"If you insist." He smirked.
"Ain't nobody worried bout yo little bird chest."
"Bird chest?" He lifted his shirt up a little so he could show off his abs and such.
"Does this look like a bird chest?"
I took a quick photo and smirked looking at the picture.
"The camera thinks so." I laughed. He mocked me and looked at the pictures.
"Oooh, I like that one." He mumbled.
"Since you paid already online, I'll have the printings for you in about an hour."
"Where do you go to print them off?" He asked.
"The library." I gathered my stuff and shoved it in my car.
"I'll come with you then."
"Oh you don't have to, I can drop them off."
"I want to." He said pulling his jacket back on.
"Okay." I began to walk out the alley but he just stood there.
"Are you coming?"
"You're gonna walk?"
"How else am I gonna get there? It's not far." I said. He shrugged and joined me.
"So, is this like a job to you?"
"Yes. A job I take very seriously." I stated.
"Do you enjoy it?"
"I really do...well it depends."
"On what?" He questioned.
"It depends on whose photos I'm taking."
"Makes sense." We entered the library and went to the printer.
"Can I print 4 photos?" I asked the librarian. She have a head nod, I guess indicating that I could use it.
I don't know why I asked, I always come in here.
"I only asked for 3 photos."
"I'm putting one of the photos in my book and website." I explained.
"Ahh, okay." He watched as the photos printed as I began to pay the librarian for the photos.
"Aye, I got it." He said moving my hand away.
"No it's fine, it's only a dollar."
"I don't like people paying for my stuff." He said giving her a dollar.
"I do. I won't pass anything up that's free." The pictures were printed and I gave them to him.
"Thanks." He mumbled looking at them.
" No problem, welp I gotta go. See you round."
"Aight." I left the library and jogged back to the valley.
I forgot that I left more than $3,000 worth of equipment down there.
