Doctor Wayne Harrison
Entry #21
Cottonwood Cove

Dear journal, I have some great news. We're not yet finished with Caesar's Weapon, but we've made a sort of deal. Yesterday, one of Caesar's Centurions took me up the lake to Caesar's Fort to discuss his weapon plans. After meeting Caesar sitting in a chair above his arena, where he had watched many warriors fights in his name, he made a deal with me.

"I have good news for you Wayne. I've found your mother Elena. The one who was a follower.".
"What?! Really!?"
"We must make a deal. I'll let you see her on the account that you will craft the perfect weapon for me. One that will strike down the mightiest of foes that will encounter the mighty Caesar."
I had never thought I'd hear these words! I could be reunited with my dear mother! "Yes Caesar. I will. "

After the deal was made, me and Doctor Lupes had been studying in the tent. I found him very....creepy. Even within the presence of The Legion. Isaiah would often find a Fire Gecko, or some other small creature, kill it with his bare hands, and devour its blood. After he had done this, he would then hold his hands over a candle and feel the flesh of his palm burn because he liked the sensation and would perform other strange activities I'd prefer not to write down.

Yet highly intelligent, he was truly a sick and unstable man. If you would consider him man. I officially came to a conclusion on The Med-X Investigation as well. As we were working on the weapon, he had stopped doing what he was doing and dragged in a dead Ghoul. "Help me with this" he said as he was dragging the body into the tent.

We both laid it out on the table like he instructed. He then took out a syringe and took some blood out the side of the ghoul's skull.

(Ghouls- Necrotic post-humans who are decrepit, rotting, zombie-like mutants. They are recipients of intense and prolonged radiation sickness which decays their skin, and in some cases
their ligaments. Some tend to be feral.)

(Lakelurks- Mutated snapping turtles that live around aquatic areas. They attack by using shrieking sonic pulse waves to stun enemies, then rip them apart using their claws. They are fiercely territorial and extremely aggressive, attacking almost anything that comes near them or their nests.)

"What are you doing?" I asked.
His response was a high pitch sinister laughter followed by an explanation.
"Wayne, have you ever wanted someone to die so badly, you wanted to make the people around them kill each other as well?"
I looked at the crazed savage.
"No. Not exactly"
"Caesar has approved of my plan to destroy the sin and scum that remain of this wretched Wasteland."
I knew what this was.
"Over the course of 6 months, Med-X has been the most developed and most bought Chem from The Followers Of The Apocalypse to the Great Kahns. It's a very powerful drug. I'm sure you know it's effects. I've developed a special way of dealing with these horrible swine across The Mojave. I use part of a Feral Ghoul's blood and mix it with Med-X Serum. After that, you add a little bit of this special extracting from a Lakelurk, and viola. You have what I call Monstrum Hominis."
I knew what that meant. It was Latin for "Monster Of Man".
"The results are very very deadly. A normal person would become a cannibalistic super-being. They attack anything in sight by devouring their victim. Once this serum is made, some of Caesar's Frumentari intercept packages that are meant to be delivered to The Followers Of The Apocalypse and replace the Med-X with them. All of this is done after they are finished up and mixed into the Syringe Filling Machine in my quarters"

This sick monster. He was truly the monstrum hominis. He was responsible for the horrible drug that turned people mad. This crime is truly unforgivable and completely horrible. My only response was telling him the people I've encountered with Monstrum Hominis.

I didn't wanna make myself hostile. Not yet. I better go now.

Doctor Harrison out.

(Great Kahns- Said to be the only truly organized band of raiders in the Mojave. A tribe that befits warrior culture of men and women and have a big part of drug producing. Said to have a very spiritual background. Compared to The Fiends or The Vipers, they see reason the most.)
