Chapter 10

 “Kill her?” Kakashi asked, quite shocked. Daichi nodded.

“Yes. They’re predicting that the demon will escape once again because of the barrier becoming looser” he stated.

“How do they know?”

“Each year the elders would place a new barrier on the demon so it could stay lock inside. Since it’s been so long since the barrier has been replace that if they put a barrier on it now it wouldn’t work. So they come to the conclusion to kill the person carrying the demon” Daichi explained.

Kakashi took a deep sigh. This is all so much and in so little time. Especially since the Chuunin Exams have passed and the Hokage’s death. Naruto and Jiraiya have gone out to look for the new Hokage a few days ago and still haven’t come back.

“What do you think we should do?” Kakashi asked. He’s not going to let someone kill Kai. She’s still a young girl with a bright future ahead. Plus, he’s also her guardian.

Daichi was in thought for a moment. What should we do? He have never thought of the before. He just wanted to come and see his sister for the first time in his life. Also to protect her from the Elders.

“I haven’t thought about that yet…” he trailed off, embarrassed.

A quiet groan suddenly filled the room. Both male’s head snap towards the little girl. Daichi’s eye’s lighten up.

“Kai!” he exclaimed. A bright smile was shown on his face. They stayed silent and looked at the girl. She never opened her eyes. Her breathing was slowly, like she was still asleep. Daichi raised a brow.

“Is… is she okay?” Daichi asked. Kakashi raised a brow at this as well. He couldn’t understand what was going on.

Kai’s body started to stir a little. Daichi’s eyes lighten with happiness again. Finally one of Kai’s bright eyes was shown.

“Kai!”

Soon the other one open and she looked at the two people by her bedside. She then notices the mysterious person by Kakashi.

“Who’re you?”

The mysterious person sent a happy smile my way.

“Let me introduce myself” he stood up and put in his hand way. “My name’s Daichi. I’m your brother.”

My brother?
