I just realized....... Alfred's been dead for 13 chapters now.

Wow.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Panama tried to move in her father's arms as he carried her out the house.

But he was to strong.

In other words, she was too weak.

"Papi let me go," She weakly said.

Either Spain ignored her or didn't hear.

She tried to move but he still didn't  let her go.

She heard England calling for Spain to bring her back.

"Papi," She said a bit louder but still weakly, "Let me go," She once again tried moving to get out of his arms.

Spain looked down at her, "Go to sleep princesa," He said softly, "We'll be in Spain by the time you wake up." (Let's  all pretend that getting from England to Spain is that fast)

"I don't want to go to Spain," She mumbled tiredly.

Spain laid his daughter on the seat inside the carriage and kneeled in front of her as it started to leave England's house.

He had a bucket in the carriage too, filled with cold water and rags in case Panama was very sick. Which unfortunately, she was.

He took a rag and placed it on her forehead. Panama jumped at the coolness. Spain squeezed the rag over the bucket to make it less cold before putting back on her.

Panama wanted to stay with England. She didn't want to leave him all alone.

"Spain!!!!" She heard her English father yell before his house was out of view.

"Please," She tiredly begged her father, "I want to stay."

Spain shook his head and mumbled a few curses about England, "I'm sorry for leaving you with him. I know you want to stay...... for some reason. But I'm taking you to Spain with me," He repiled gently, tilting her chin up so she was looking at him, "It's for your own good. And some of your brothers  and sisters are there too."

Panama really didn't want to leave England but she knew she wasn't getting anywhere with convincing  Spain to leave her.

He took the rag off her and pressed it to her cheeks before putting back into the bucket.

He picked her up again, sat on the seat, and placed her on his lap.

"I wanna go," She said against his chest, "I wanna g-"

Spain gently shushed her, "Your not feeling to well, go to sleep."

He took a light blanket that was also in the carriage and put it around her, "Go to sleep bebita." (Baby girl) He said using the nickname that was reserved only for her. He started singing the lullaby that he sang to her as a child.

Pamana didn't have enough energy to protest against her father and just listened to the song. She unconsciously started singing along with him softly before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.

Spain kissed Panama's forehead and watched his baby girl sleep for awhile before looking out the window.

In truth, he really didn't feel gulity about taking Panama away from England.

He had just lost his second oldest child almost 3 full weeks ago and wasn't ready to lose his youngest just because of England's ingornace. They were nations and Panama wouldn't die from a high fever, but still.
