I stood from the makeshift hospital bed. When I made my first step, the Cullen's were in the room within seconds. Carlisle was In front of me first, observing me in a doctorly manner,

"Okay Rever can you following my fingers please."

I let my eyes move left and right with the motion of his fingers.

"Okay good," Carlisle reached into his coat pocket and clicked the top of a mini flashlight, "Can you follow the light now please."

My eyes squinted as a bright glow shined upon the optical organs. I followed the light just the same as I did before.

Carlisle looked at me puzzled, "How peculiar," he murmured, "Do you feel light headed, nauseated? Normally a Vampire shouldn't feel any of that, but you were asleep for quite a few weeks, I'm just making sure. I think we have all concluded that your power is of great magnitude and it has caused your body to behave in a humanly manner."

A few weeks! My eyes widened and my brows furrowed in confusion.

"Wait, look at her eyes!" Jasper spoke, his Texan accent ringing throughout the office room.

Carlisle took a closer look at my eyes, "Aw, yes, they have seemed to have changed a bit in color. You must be thirsty, I'm sure we could all use a hunt."

Emmett pumped his fists in the air at the idea of going on a hunt. But the thought of eating a human or some sort of animal repulsed me to my very core.

I looked over to Edward and let him into my thoughts, "You and your family aren't going to make me drink blood are you?"

Edward furrowed his brows, "You say that as if you've never had blood before."

Jasper gave me a look of jealousy, "How could you not have had blood before? Your a newborn!"

The Cullen's all gave me calculating looks, wondering if I was a Janus-faced person or a angel in disguise. Jasper was the one amongst them to give me the most churlish of glances before storming out of the room. Alice gave me an apologetic half smile before she too, zoomed out of the room in search of her mate. I looked at everyone with a prominent frown on my face wondering if I did something to upset Jasper.

Carlisle sighed, "Don't worry Rever, its nothing you did. Jasper and Alice have been with us for some time now but Jasper is the newest to our diet of animals. He struggles the most with it. To hear that you've never have had blood before is a mystery to all of us, but for jasper to know that your not struggling as much as he is, he must be feeling quite shameful of himself."

I nodded in understanding thinking that I should somehow apologize to Jasper the next time I get the chance.

"If its alright for me to ask, what have you been eating?"

Shaken out of my thoughts, I looked back up at Carlisle as he awaited my answer. I pursed my lips In concentration as I took into consideration everything that I have ate since becoming a vampire.

M mind came up blank.

I glanced at Edward, "Nothing, I-- I've had nothing to eat."

"Nothing? Are you sure? You haven't ate a single thing since becoming a newborn?" Edward questioned while I shook my head no to answer him.

"How odd," Carlisle placed his hand on his chin and sat on top of his desk, "I wonder if this has anything to do with your Power or powers?

"Powers? Plural? as in you think she may have multiple?" Edward regarded Carlisle dubiously.

Carlisle crossed his legs and folded his hands in his lap. The white doctor coat that he wore scrunched up as he moved his stiff body in a human like way. He surveyed me in wonder, "That or its all one power or she has really good self control."
