Lizzy POV
I don't know how long I slept for but, when I woke up the sun was just above the horizon and we were pulling up to a dirt road.
"Morning sunshine," Jacob said
"How long was I asleep for?"
"Couple hours, but just in time because we're almost there"
I just nodded and looked out the window until we came to a sudden halt. I looked out the windshield and saw a red and white beam, like a toll gate, with a sign saying 'DO NOT ENTER!' In bright red and bold. I could smell the wolves all over the area.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?"
"Yup," he said as he got out the car. He went a moved the beam, drove in and put it back.
"So what's the point of the beam?"
"Beams to keep the humans out" he replied "although they always get curious and sometimes disregard it. The sent, as I'm sure you smell, was to let other wolves know this is our territory."
"Oh. What happens to those who trespass?"
"You know already know happens to the wolves."
I did indeed. Wolves that trespass into another wolves territory, in most cases it's rogues, will be chased out of the territory. Rogues will be killed.
"But with humans..." he continued "either they see us in wolf form and run, sometimes Aiden, who's a hybrid vampire, has a little fun and may chase after them if they see us transform then Zack, hybrid witch, will erase their memories of this place."
"Who else is there? In the pack I mean."
"Well theirs me, Zack, Aiden, Violet is a hybrid angel and Grace is a hybrid demon."
I just nodded. Only then it hit me, this was a new start. A new pack, new family, new... Everything! I finally would be accepted and finally feel like I'm... home
Just then we were pulling up to the house and it...looked...amazing.
