The Dead Studios: Season 10

Chapter 1: Genesis

     Caroline flickered her eyes opened as she saw the bright blue sky above her, the clouds slowly shifting across the sky. She turned her head over, looking at the rest of the group who were still asleep. She sat up and looked around them. They had been travelling for 2 weeks, and the day has finally come. They return back to the cabin. Colton opened his eyes, turning his head over at Olivia who was laying down next to him. He used his one good arm to slowly rub his finger against her face as her eyes opened and she smiled. Richard came walking back to the camp holding his rifle as everyone slowly woke up. Caroline looked at them as she leaned against a tree. 

"Alright everyone, get up. We have a long way to go." Richard said as he began to undo the strings surrounding the camp.

David got up and grabbed his bag as Smithy did the same, his leg now fully healed from the gunshot wound given by Jax. Olivia stood up as Colton attempted it, putting one arm down on the ground trying to push himself up but failed. Olivia held her hand out to him as he looked at it.

"No, I got this." Colton said, trying to push himself up again, managing to but falling back a little. He looked at her and sighed as he picked up his bag with his one arm, throwing it over his shoulder.

James stood up and began to pack up the blankets, looking over at Caroline who was staring off, leaning against the tree. He packed up the blankets and threw the bag onto his back, walking in front of Caroline, kicking her foot. Her eyes flickered as she jolted up, looking at him,

He smirked. "You okay?" James asked.

She looked up at, smiling back. "Yeah." She said as she got up and grabbed her stuff. "I'm ready." She said.

"Good." He said as they all turned and started to walk back to the cabin, Richard leading the way. 

Olivia walked besides Colton as she looked at him. "You know, if you ever have to talk to me about what happened, I'm right here." She said. 

Colton looked at her has he put his one arm around her head and kissed it. 

"What're we going to do if-" Smithy said as he cut out.

"We put him down." Richard said. "If he's dead, we put him down." He turned to face his son.

Smithy nodded a little as he continued to walk beside him.  

"And if he's still asleep?" David asked.

Richard looked at him as he sighed. "We'll talk about that when we get there."

They all walked quietly for a while, when a small group of walkers formed in front of them. They took them down easily, except for Colton. He took out his knife and went in to put it down but struggled as it got closer to him. The walker fell down on him as he held it back with one hand. Olivia quickly grabbed her knife and stabbed it through the head as blood dripped down onto Colton's face. He pushed the body off of him as he wiped the blood off to the side, leaving it stained on his face. He struggled to stand up as Olivia came to help him, but he pushed her away.

"I can do this!" He said as he finally got up, rubbing the blood away more.

Olivia looked at his face, taking out a small cloth and smearing it off of him. He scoffed as he turned away from her and walked ahead of the group as they grew closer to the cabin. The group finally saw the small field a head of them, seeing the dirt filled graves. They walked past them, Caroline standing in front of one of them for a second, James stopping along side her. She looked down as she plucked a flower, placing it on the grave, as she turned and walked to the cabin.
