Jax sat against the door of the small house he was in with Lisa, as he looked out towards the east. He saw the smallest crack of the sun coming up through the window, as he quickly jolted up and grabbed his bag. Lisa opened her eyes, as she was sleeping next to the fire where Jax's bag was.
"Hey-" She said as she saw him head for the door. "Woah woah woah- wait a second." She said, as she pushed off the blanket and stood up.
Jax stopped and sighed, turning himself to face Lisa. "What." He said in a dull tone.
"Wait for me." She said as she put on her boots and grabbed her heavy coat and her bag.
Jax pulled out the small folded up map from inside his pocket, and unfolded it.
"Can you read a map?" Jax asked her, showing her it.
"Um- yeah, maybe? I don't know." She said as she turned over to him, looking down at the map. "Oh yeah, I got this." She said.
"Can you find the place you were at when you were with Caroline?" Jax asked her, as she continued looking at the map.
Lisa looked around at the map, seeing a black X and a red X marked on it already. "What are those?" She asked curiously, casually getting off topic.
Jax sighed. "It's nothing, just places I already was, and if it helps, the red one is the cabin." He said, as he tried not to mention the bunker.
"Well why are they both different colors?" Lisa asked annoyingly.
Jax sighed again. "Just find it god dammit." He said, loosing his patience, as Lisa smirked and looked across the map.
She looked at the map for a while. "Yeah I got nothing." She finally said.
Jax sighed loudly. "Jesus christ." He said as he pulled the map away, walking away from her.
"Where are we going?" She asked as she followed after him.
"Back to the cabin." Jax said.
Lisa smiled, as she got up in front of him and began to walk backwards, facing him.
Jax sighed as he stopped and looked at Lisa who was smirking uncontrollably. "What is it?" He said.
"You know where the cabin is?" She asked him, smirking.
He sighed again, looking at her smile. "No."
"Let me lead the way then." She said, as she turned and began to lead him through the snow.
"How old are you?" Jax said jokingly, as she chuckled from his joke.
They walked for a while, until they finally saw the dark cabin, the large tree leaning over on the roof.
"Jesus. What happened?" She asked.
"You tell me." He said as he looked at her and they continued to walk towards it. "So which way?" He asked her.
"Follow me." She said, as they turned and began to walk towards the old scrap yard.
They walked for a couple hours, until they finally reached the large gate.
"This is the place?" Jax asked, as Lisa nodded.
Jax walked up to the gate, as he slowly pushed it open. He pulled out his pistol, as he scanned his surroundings for any signs of them, but there was nothing. Just decaying bodies and a few walkers in the distance. Jax sighed, as he put his pistol back into his holster. He put his hands on his head, as he began to look around for anything, any sign of anyone being there-- but there was nothing. He turned to Lisa, as she looked at him.
"Where are they?" He said, as he stuttered a tiny bit.
Lisa shook her head, as she began to look around. "I don't know- this is the last place I saw them."
"Then where are they!" He yelled, as Lisa's eyes widened to something behind Jax.
He suddenly heard the click of a gun behind him, as he turned around.
"Hi there." A voice said, as the tip of a gun laid against Jax's head.
Jax looked at the man, as the man kept the gun pointed at him.
"Give me the gun." He said to Jax.
"It's two against one here, think about what you're doing." Jax said, as he kept his arms down.
"Yeah I see that." The man said. "But at least one of you will be dead in the end, even if it costs me my life."
"You're really gonna be that ignorant?" Lisa cut in.
"Yeah....I am." The man said. "Wait a minute...yeah..yeah you look familar." He said, as he looked at Lisa. "You were a prisoner here, weren't you? I remember seeing you tied up to the fence." He said as he continued looking at her, as Lisa glared back at him. "Damn, you look good. I remember you used to look at skinny and bony, but damn. Now that's-" The man suddenly cut off, as his body suddenly jolted as blood poured out of his head, as his body fell to the ground and into the snow.
Jax and Lisa jumped back, as they were startled by the loud gunshot. Jax turned his head over to where the shot came from, as he saw a man standing on top of a large pile of scrap, the sun behind him which blocked Jax's vision. He watched as the man lowered the rifle and got down off of the pile, walking over to him. Jax pulled out his pistol, as he aimed it at the man who approached him, as the man put the rifle back over his shoulder and raised his arms. The man finally came out of the way of the sun, as Jax realized who it was.
"Holy shit-" The man said as he saw who it was. "I can't believe your alive." He said as he smiled and held his arm out.
Jax smiled, as he grabbed his arm and smiled. "It's good to see you, David." He said as he pulled him into a hug, and back out.
David looked over at Lisa. "I believe we've met before?" He said, holding his hand out.
Lisa smiled as she shook it. "I believe so." She said.
"You two know eachother?" Jax asked.
"Oh yeah. 9 months ago, Olivia and I were the ones who triggered this place into an all out war. It's a long story. I'll catch you up on it later." David said as he suddenly whistled.
Olivia came out from behind a large pile of scrap, meeting up with David and the others, as she suddenly pulled Jax into a hug. "I'm glad you're alive." She whispered into his ear, as she then pulled away.
"So where is everyone?" Jax asked nervously.
David's smile grew larger. "They're all okay. We're all okay. Caroline is alive." He said. "Congratulations, Jax. You're a father." David said, as he patted Jax on the shoulder.
The words hit Jax like a bus. All he could do was smile but his thoughts were controllable. He fell into the snow, as he held his head and began to laugh, Caroline being the only thing on his mind.
