Frank and I arrived at my house, and before I could get my keys out, my phone starts to ring. I take it out of my pocket and see that it's my dad. "It's my dad," I say to Frank, then pick it up. "Hello?" he says. "Hey, Dad," I say. "Hey, (Y/N). Something came up at work and I won't be home until... Probably tomorrow," Dad says. "I'm really sorry. It's just crazy right now. A lot of people have quit, a lot are on vacation, and it's just- it's just really hard."
"It's okay. I understand," I say. "Don't get lonely. You can invite your friends over or go to their houses if you do," he says. "Thanks. I love you," I say. "I love you too. Bye." My dad hangs up, and I look at Frank. "Want to, like, invite the others?" I ask. "Sure," Frank says. I get my keys out and unlock the door. "But to do what?" Frank asks. "I don't know. I can order pizza and we can watch movies or something. I have a lot of movies," I say, and drop onto the couch.
"That would be good. But I'm a vegetarian," Frank says, sitting next to me on the couch. "Okay. Vegetarian pizza for you," I say. "Okay. I'll call the others right now and see if they can come soon," Frank says. "I'll call Gee first." He gets out his phone, and dials Gerard's number. "Hey. So, (Y/N)'s dad just called her and told her that he won't be home until tomorrow because of work. He said that she can invite us to her house or something because he doesn't want her to feel lonely. I'm already at her house, so do want to come after work? I'm gonna invite Ray and Mikey too. (Y/N) has a lot of movies, and we can order pizza," Frank says.
I lean in to listen to what Gerard says. "Wouldn't you prefer it just being you guys? We don't want to be extra wheels," Gerard says teasingly.
"Shut up! No!" Frank yells into the phone. "You're done with work at 5? Okay. Yeah, I'll call Ray and Mikey right now," Frank says. "Bye." He hangs up, then says,"He'll be here at 5:30. I'm gonna call Ray and Mikey right now." He dials Mikey's number.
"Hey. (Y/N)'s dad isn't gonna be home until tomorrow because of work, and he said she can invite us to her house or something like that because he doesn't want her to be lonely. I'm already at her house. Gerard says he's gonna be here at 5:30. Do you want to come? I'm gonna call Ray and ask him too," Frank says.
"You're with Ray right now? Okay. Does he want go? Okay. See you then," Frank says, then hangs up. "They'll all be here at 5:30," he says. I nod. I should probably tell him what Mikey said today... That can wait until tomorrow, right?
