Chapter 3 – “wonder if its love I feel?"

I was soooo excited. I was going on a day trip with my friends to a new theme park that had opened recently. We were all going in a group, originally it was just me and Aisha with our friends but then we thought the more the merrier, and a few of the other girls were bringing friends so we decided to ask Rohan and Dhruv. Me and Dhruv had become good friends. We had met up a few times after the movie and we talked almost every single day. We just never seemed to run out of things to talk about, and the chance to spend a whole day together would be lovely.

Everyone was in a good mood, playing music, clicking pics especially innumerable selfies, to post on FB and to SnapChat to the friends that hadn’t been able to arrive. In midst all the fun the drive felt short even though it was an hour away. We got there fast enough and then made our way inside.

My phone vibrated as I received a msg from Dhruv saying ‘where are you?” I was just about to reply when Aisha pointed him about to me, sitting under a tree eating a lollipop. I laughed and we made our way to him.

“Enjoying your lollipop Dhruv?” I said.

“Oh hey” he said, getting up from the ground brushing grass off his jeans. He looked nice today, in a simple white tee and blue jeans, along with a pair of sunglasses, RayBans by the look of it.

“Nice sunnies” Aisha commented.

“Thanks, but I think yours are better.” He said teasing her, as she was wearing a pair of sparkly pink star sunglasses.

“I already know that” she replied, making him laugh.  “Okay now should we go find Rohan?”

“Yup where is he anyway?” I asked

“I don’t know, he said he was near the entrance but I can’t see him anywhere.” She said, shading her eyes for a better view.

“Maybe if we walk along a bit we’ll find him?” quipped Dhruv.  “I mean there’s no point in just standing here.

“I guess.” Aisha said doubtfully and then we set off and eventually found him.

Once the four of us were together we introduced Dhruv and Rohan, who developed a good rapport together and then went back to join the group. Everyone was going off into small groups exploring the theme park and decided to meet at 1pm for lunch in the Food Court. Everyone dispersed and the four of us decided to grab a map and try work out what rides we wanted to go on. Rohan and Dhruv were up for each and every ride, whereas me and Aisha were a bit more hesitant. We decided to start off with the Pirate Ship as it was closest to us and made our way there.

This was one of the few rides I did enjoy, though after the ride I still couldn’t decide whether the tickling feeling in my stomach was because of the ride or because of the proximity to Dhruv. I just couldn’t help it, the butterflies in my stomach never went away, there was always there when I was with him, talking to him, or even thinking about him. But it was a nice feeling, not the butterflies of nervousness but of happiness, as if my butterflies were dancing with joy.

We went to various rides, getting splashed in the water rides, laughing so hard that we got stitches in our sides at the bumper cars, enjoying the view from the Ferris Wheel and even going to the 4D motion movie. We laughed and talked nonstop, the four of us having a great time together as we all got along well.

We didn’t always agree with each other, the boys wanted to go in the haunted house but we wouldn’t let them, until they finally agreed to let us wait outside and they came out looking shaken but boldly proclaiming otherwise. In turn they didn’t want to go on the merry-go-round but of course we were girls, and somehow after a lot of begging and pleading we managed to get them on two horses and although they didn’t admit it, they had fun.
