"It's not what you think."
You watch as Anti stands up.

"I'm thinking that you kissed that guy."
Anti hatefully points at Jack, who was trying to sneak out of the kitchen.
"Is that not what happened?"

"Yes, but-"
You start thinking of an excuse. Anything to get out of trouble.

Jack whispers a small 'sorry' before walking away from the conflict.

"Save it. I don't need to hear your excuses."
Anti darkly mutters and starts to follow Jack.

"Where are you going?"
You ask, trying not to cry.

"Away."
He hisses, disappearing from the kitchen.

"Okay."
You whisper and feel a tear slip down your cheek. One of the many to come.

Shaking, you feel yourself lower down onto the floor. Using your arms to hug yourself, you allow all the tears to fall silently.

Why did he have such a huge impact on your feelings?
Why was he the one in the middle of everything?
Why couldn't you fight for yourself?
This is all your fault.

The depressing thoughts did not help you, they created more tears which made it hard to silence your sobs.

Seconds, minutes, and maybe even hours past with you just crying. You were silently calling for help. Nobody came.

Why would they?

Your vision was completely blinded with useless tears and feelings, but you kept on crying.

Unanticipatedly, someone wrapped their arms around you in comfort.
You couldn't tell who it was, but you leaned into them anyway for comfort.

Shortly after the mystery person appeared, you were feeling oddly calm.

"You need to stop doing this to me."
Anti spoke calmly, nothing like your small argument earlier on.

"I'm sorry."
You whisper, letting a few loose tears fall freely.

"I know you are."
He lets you lean your head on his shoulder, his oddly cold touch calmed you almost instantly.

But why?
Why him?

"I'm... sorry, too."
Anti hesitates to say those words at first.

"I know."
You close your eyes and listen to the background noise.

Wasn't Anti the reason why you were crying in the first place?
Why are you letting him control you like this?

"Stop thinking... please."
The green haired demon painfully adds.
He's been reading your thoughts the entire time.

Especially the toxic ones you had about him.

There was a strange, cozy silence with you and Anti just sitting on the floor, leaning on each other for support.

Two broken people wanting to fix themselves.

"Come on, I want to show you something."
Anti speaks, surprising you a bit.

You stand up and take his extended hand.

"Close your eyes, it will be easier."
He smiles softly and waits for you to comply.

You return his smile, closing your eyes.

You trust him.
