The Top 10 Author Secrets (SOL and ROR)

So here lies ten of the previous book secrets lying in Son of Lights and Realm of Raef...

1) The picture of Cody De Roxas found on the multimedia of Chapter 1 of Son of Lights actually came from a hentai website. Pati nga rin ako nagulat, anime pornography. Nakakasilaw, kaya lipat tingin. Sinearch ko yung character names. Ayun, maswerte na lang at hindi na ulit lumabas ang pornographic anime nung nahanap ko ang pic na yun. Eeeeeewwwww.

2) Cody De Roxas' POV during the Realm of Raef epilogue actually happened. Based on experience, except for the fact na nangyari yun nung first day of school. Si girl ang nakipaghiwalay. Tapos may boy friend ako (focus on the space between boy and friend, okay?) na may gusto sa kanya. Kaya all this time, I was Cody, he was June. Sinabi ko sa kanya yung sinabi ni Cody sa story... the exact words.

3) The term "Doku Hebi" in Son of Lights was just a nonsense term at first. So sinubukan kong maghanap ng kakaibang tawag ng group. Kaya translate-translate ng words into Japanese. Dumaan sa akin ang doku hebi sa translation ng evil betrayer. Pero nilampasan ko. Tapos naalala ko ulit. So ibinalik ko. Hindi ko naman akalain na gagamitin ko na yun for the whole book.

4) Ice Jeron and Juri were based on TV and games. Sige hulaan niyo. First... yung name na Jeron. Seriously, ang basis ko nun... si Jeron Teng. Wala eh basketball tapos sikat. Then si Juri, based on Street Fighter. Basta, research niyo na lang siya. Eh yung Ice? Based on Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail. Ano ba element ni Gray? Di ba ice? Astig rin, ano.

5) In relation to Secret 4, why didn't Ice Jeron have ice powers during the duration of the story if he was based on Gray and ice? Technically and originally, Ice Jeron was planned to be an ice-manipulating android. Pero nag-sync in sa akin... si Sam sa Son of Lights. Eh di nagkapare-pareho ng powers. Wala nang originality. So I researched on another character on Fairy Tail na wala pang kaparehong power sa story. So I found Cana Alberona, the card user from Fairy Tail. Research guys.

6) Why does Cody's dad have to be a member of Doku Hebi? I never really knew why I chose him to be the grand finale bad guy in the story. Really. I just swear to God I don't know. But I think... hmmm. Twist of story plot, I think. Like Darth Vader being the father of Luke Skywalker(?)

7) The inspiration of Son of Lights and Realm of Raef is @TheFlashSamLee and his book, Unorthodox.Trust me, it's another awesome SciFi story. The link of his book is in the external link. Kahit hindi siya tapos, dama ko ang after effects ng libro. Heck, Neo Nathan Lights, a.k.a. June Ongsee was based on its main character, Blake Schwartz.

8) Realm of Raef was written shorter than expected. Noong 2013, napagplanuhan ko na gagawin ko siyang 23 - 25 chapters. Kaso na-postpone and it took a year to move on. And look what happened. Only 18 chapters with 2 sub-chapters. Laki ng difference. First reason, naubusan na ako ng possible fears na pwedeng gamitin. Second reason, I just want to finish the story para ganahan ako sa paggawa ng third story. Itong The Syntax. Pero hindi ko inexpect na I would finish the story THAT fast.

9) The main concept of Realm of Raef was... quite some of my childhood fears. Well, maybe not all of it. Like dragons, dragons don't exist. Ang mga werewolf, may abs na. Ang mga vampire, gumwapo na. Basta may fears sa book na based on my childhood fears. Aba, teenager na ako, bawas na fears ko. Fear of height na lang ata ang natira sa akin :D

10) The confusion between Cody's powers... here I will fully elaborate. According to Son of Lights, di ba binigyan ng Guardian Dragon si Cody ng kanyang power. Walang ine-specify kung anong element or type ng power ang binigyan. So technically, it's random. Lahit ginive up ni Cody ang LAHAT ng powers niya para mabuhay si Katelyn, narecover niya rin itong lahat nung binigyan siya ni Felicity Lights.

Fast forward sa Realm of Raef... nakamit ni Cody ang Nexus version nito na si Nexus Cody. Mas pinili lang ni Cody na gamitin ang bagong naacquire na Nexus-element powers pero hindi nawala yung original niyang powers. Kaya nung last chapter nito, ang gamit ni Cody ay yung random powers niya.

Lastly, sa The Syntax, ang gamit ni Cody... all throughout. Ay ang random powers niya pa rin. Nag-iba lang ang variation ng weapon niya. From scythe to chakram to scythe ulit. Walang nagbago. Nag-improve pa nga eh, may variation rin ng Nexus-element powers na naacquire si Cody. PERO BOTTOMLINE, GAMIT PA RIN NI CODY ANG POWERS NIYA FROM THE GUARDIAN DRAGON.
