The Syntax - Prologue*

"Hui kuya... gising na," sabi sa akin ni Daniel na kinakalog-kalog pa ako sa sarap ng tulog ko. "Oo na, oo na," I groaned while standing out of bed. Toothbrush, gargle, and bumaba na kami. Breakfast. Ligo. Suot uniform. And final checking.

It's good. "Ready ka na?" tanong sa akin ni Dan. "Oo naman," sagot ko. Bumaba na kami. Drinive kami ni Dad sa aming high school. My favorite. Jansport High School.

"Akalain mo nga, ano, third year na tayo," sabi sa akin ni Daniel. Oo nga. Third year na kami. Marami na ring nangyari since then. Actually, kami na nga lang ni Dan ang natira dito eh. Nagtransfer na ang iba.

Si Kelvin naman, ayun, hari na ng Raef. Forever kaluluwa na ata eh. Sina Juri at Ice, pinalipat sa napaka-prestigious na high school. Atenista na kaya sila. Boompanes. Tapos ang ex kong si Katelyn at ang ex-best friend kong si June, nagtransfer na sa Nexus High School. Don't worry, naka-move on na rin ako kay Katelyn. Kahit nagtiis ako ng 10 months na kasama siya sa isang room. Awkward.

So where was I? Ohyeah. "Ikaw ba si Cody De Roxas?" tanong sa akin ng isang Grade 7 na babae. "Yup," I smiled. "Pwede magpapicture?" she asked. O_O" Sikat na ba ako or what?

Matapos niyang magpapicture ay tumungo na ulit kami sa high school building at dumiretso sa classroom namin.

*Third Person POV*

Meanwhile. Somewhere cities away.

"Get Cody De Roxas."
"Why me?!"
"To see if he is compatible with the SYNTAXgene."
"Then why not me?!"
"You already have SYNTAXgene in your blood. But no after effects have been evident on you."
"Maybe it's not yet enough."
"Applying more SYNTAXgene can damage the system in you."
"I'll take the risk."
"Before you do, get Cody De Roxas."
"Oh we'll bring him to you... dead."
