You chose run left into the trees.

You and Derek quickly gather your few possessions and sprint into the trees; they scrape and scratch at your arms and face but your adrenaline keeps you running. You push leaves and branches out of your way and pray that neither of you trip on the large roots you swear have been purposely placed there as they taunt your every step, your every move. You feel blood slowly trickle down your arms but ignore it as the sound of footsteps begins to get louder and you fear for your lives and begin to madly dash in between the dark verdant trees that seem to be the only thing clouding your vision. The scratches on your arms and legs begin to sting even more and by now you are certain that they can smell the little blood the branches have drawn from you, they can track you quicker now.  You look over at Derek and realise that he is thinking the same thing yet is waiting for you to make the call on what to do.

So what do you do? Do you stop to cover up your wounds in the hopes that tracking becomes more difficult for them or continue running?
