Chapter 21; Don't trust any of them.

The long day was slowly coming to a close, all that was left now was to wait for Dean and go home to upload all the pictures I took today on to my blog.

I was walking out of chemistry class when Pearl excused herself. She told me to wait for her at the lockers because she had to do something, I was actually glad I was able to shake her off me for a little while, it's not that I didn't like her, it's just that she was an active volcano and I was a tropical storm.

I walked the long hallway to my locker, I felt strange, my first day here and I've already made friends and dumb memories, I couldn't remember a single pleasant thing from back in California and that wasn't a stretch.
I was placing my belongings inside the locker and making sure everything was alright for tomorrow.

-"Blaire!" Joshua's voice called out.
He stopped right in front of me,
Now that I knew of his crimes I was on guard around him, I stiffened as he raised his gaze on me and a small smile began to be drawn on his lips, I pressed my lips in a tight line, this time I was positive I wasn't falling for his act.
He closed his eyes and threw in air, he then lowered his head at me,
-"I'm very sorry for what happened!"
His apology caught me so off guard that I didn't even realize what he was sorry for,
-"look, it happened so fast, the team wanted you on the list, I said no, they called me names and they said I was going soft so I let them put you on it but only on my conditions and they all complained but whatever!" He explained really fast in a single breath, I blinked, I was honestly really annoyed at all this.
-"Look Joshua, I don't think that what you're doing is even right, I don't even know how you guys have been getting away with all this but if you're really sorry, than you will take me off your list and never talk to me again." I demanded, he groaned and ran a hand through his brown mane.
-"I can't take you out, Even if I do the Guys are already set on you and they won't stop!"
I groaned
-"I don't like any of this, what happened to the charming guy I met last night? The guy who has incredible shots on his camera? The gentleman I met infront of a lake? I don't know you."
I finally understood what Pearl was trying to explain to me, how seriously theses dumbasses were taking this.
Joshua groaned.
-"I know this is fucked up, I get it and I should have put a stop to it since it started."
He pressed his lips together, and sighed
-"Blaire, I'm seriously sorry, look I'll protect you, I promise, I won't let them so much as lay a finger on you until they give up."
I shook my head, the damage was already done, I was going to have to accept the fact that a bunch of meatheads were hunting for me.
-"I don't know Joshua, just do whatever you want." I was angry, scared and tired, all this was stupid.
-"Blaire Williams!" I heard a voice call out for me, great even more problems.
Me and Joshua turned to the angry brunnet storming towards us, she was gorgeous, I heard Joshua bark a few courses,
-"You're Blaire right? Blaire Williams?" She said pointing at me, almost accusingly. I nodded silently.
She turned to Joshua who's face looked annoyed.
-"That thing?" She said pointing at me appalled
-"Joshua Lindor, you placed this excuse of a woman in the list? You came personally to tell her about it?" She said laughing sarcastically almost as if she was offended.
Joshua face stiffened.
-"Don't confused Blaire with what you are Natalie, I assure you she's more of everything than you are."
Joshua barked out at her
Natalie smiled wickedly and turned to me,
-"congrats, you just made yourself an new enemy."
Natalie tried to reach for my hair but before she could I pushed her away from me, I was not about to be pushed around by this dumb bimbo.
Natalie's face twisted into one of pure anger she tried to reach for me again but I pushed her away again, this time harder, I was starting to feel sorry for how flimsy and weak she was.
-"Try it princess and you'll find out what hospital food taste like." I warned her.
She gasped horrified and whined frustrated, but she didn't say a word and just stormed off.
I heard Joshua laugh quietly,
I turned to him annoyed,
-"What's so funny? And who on Earth was that?" I demanded an explanation,
-"that's just Natalie Andersen, she's just jealous because suddenly all my attention is on you, she's been in love with me since the 5th grade but she's bat shit." Joshua explained
-"All of you are bat shit, get down to earth, this is highschool, not Jersey shore!"
Joshua laughed harder,
-"My thoughts exactly, I've never seen anyone stand up to Natalie before, you have balls!"
He started to walk away,
-"Don't go changing, keep that brain of yours and you'll survive this place." Joshua said with a smile as he walked away.

-"I met Natalie!" I told Pearl annoyed, I was still wondering if I should trust what Joshua said or not.
Pearl cursed under her breath
-"that's the last time I leave you alone." She promised,
-"What did she do?" She growled,
I remember how Joshua defend me from her, I blushed.
-"Joshua was there too!" I said quietly she gasped and I felt like she was about to go in there and fight him.
-"He defend me from Natalie!" I explained, before she went and did something reckless.
-"he also apologized about the list thing, he said he would protect me from-"
She stopped and grabbed my shoulders.
-"Don't trust a word he says! He's just trying to win your trust to get in to your pants, Blaire, don't trust any of them." Her warning shook me to the core, it felt like she talked from experience.
-"I didn't" I told her, she resumed her walk and pulled me from my hand.
-"Pearl, what did they do to you?" I remembered what she talked about earlier during lunch, about how she also experienced the popular kid's mistreatment.
-"I'll tell you later." She said quickly avoiding the subject.
-"Do you have a ride home? I have to go to work and it's walking distance..." She said
-"Dean is coming to pick me up!" I explained.
-"good, I'll wait until he comes!" She said,
-"no you don't have to do that!" I quickly apologized, I didn't want to make her go in late, on top of that I had no idea what time Dean was coming.
-"I want to don't worry!" She said.

We where quickly at the entrance where there were others waiting to get picked up, the cool air hit my face making my nose cold,
I laughed
-"Dean has my nose!" I muttered out loud
Pearl looked at me confused
-"What?" She asked
I shook my head quickly
-"nothing!" I said nervously shaking my hands in the air,
She smiled and went serious all of a sudden
-"By the way, I know about you and Dean" she dropped,
I froze, and looked at her,
-"I'm not telling anyone, it's not my secret to tell and you can't pick who you fall for." She said with a dreary tone on her voice.
I blushed, I did fall for Dean, I fell for him hard.
I didn't know what else to say so I stayed quiet.
-"I think you guys could work out." She said quietly,
-"I hope" I said. Did I though? Yeah I guess I hoped that it didn't end in flames.

Me and Pearl talked a little bit longer and then Dean finally showed up,

-"Sorry I took so long! Something came up!" He apologized
-"It's okay, I kept her company Romeo!" Pearl shimmed in playfully, making me blush, Dean seemed surprised to see her.
-"I didn't expect to see you here!" Dean said with a smile that took my breath away, he looked super good in a black Metallica t-shirt ripped jeans and converse
-"Are you going to the dinner?" He asked she nodded,
-"Good, both of you get in already!" He barked out.
I sat at the front seat, and he gave me the look he always gives me, that dreamy smile, I blushed again, He was so irresistible, if Pearl wasn't in the back seat I would have jumped on him and devoured him whole!
He kissed me taking me completely by surprise, chills went up my spine, and danced on the hairs on the back of my neck, I wanted to die!
He undid the kiss and gave me his signature sly smirk,
-"you looked like you needed one." He explained, making my world crumble.
I met Pearl's gaze through the rearview mirror, she wiggled her eyebrows at me and smiled knowgly,
I wanted to yell at both of them for mocking me, they where in on some joke, I just knew it!
