Chapter One:

Hinata Hyūga sat next to her cousin Neji, her doe-like pupil-less lavender eyes watching people gather in awe as her pink pouty lips parted. Her indigo hair was made into a hime cut with two cheek long strands of hair framing her face as precisely cut bangs hid her forehead. She wore a silky pink kimono that had red flower petals gently descending with a red obi tied around her waist and pure white socks. "Neji-niisan," Said boy glanced over towards the girl. "Hai, Hinata-sama?" She let a pout form on her lips as her eyebrows furrowed. "I'm bored. Can we go to the Koi pond?" She asked, her eyes-despite the impression of being serious-sparked with curiousity and question towards her cousin. Neji grinned and nodded rapidly. "Hai! Let's go tell Otou-san (Father) first." He said as the two got up, and walked towards his father, their eyes scanning the crowd for the man. When spotted, Hinata tugged on Neji's sleeve and gently dragged him towards Hizashi Hyūga who was currently watching his brother, Hiashi Hyūga, discuss with the Kumo representative. A gentle tug on his beige kimono alerted him of a child's prescence and with that in mind, he looked down, only to see his brother's daughter looking up at him with wide eyes while his own son repeated the action. "Otou-san, can we go to the Koi pond?" His son asked with Hinata nodding in agreement, her lavender eyes boring into his own ash grey ones. Hizashi chuckled as he crouched down to their level, his ash grey eyes soft, warm and kind towards the two children. "Hai, but I'll go with you. We don't want anyone to get hurt now do we?" He replied, making Hinata frown with her head shaking in the negative, upset at the fact of someone getting hurt. As if reading her thoughts, he chuckled and placed a gentle calloused hand on her shoulder. "No one will get hurt, Hinata-sama, I promise." Hinata nodded slowly in approval and said, "Okay, Hizashi-ojisan (Uncle Hizashi)." And so, the three Hyūga spent nearly three hours conversing and watching the koi fish swim gracefully in the clear water pond, lily pads resting on the surface. As of now, Hinata was peacefully asleep in her midnight sky comfortered bed, her eyes closed with dreams of a shadow angel smiling proudly at her as she flew with her own lavender wings flapping gently through the air, prepelling her through the white, fluffy clouds of the light blue sky. The feeling of cold arms wrapping around her in a freezing embrace made her snap out of her peaceful dream, her lilac eyes glowing widely in the dead of night like a pair of moons gleaming onto Earth with its light. A dark, hateful gaze silenced her from her screams, warning her that if her lips released a single sound, her life would end in a flash. So, being the good girl she was, she kept silent, even when the kidnapper of Kumo harshly shoved her tiny form into the dark beige potato sack and threw her over his shoulder as he jumped out of her room's window. Her lilac eyes filled to the brim with tears, and blinked, letting the tears roll down her cheeks in gentle waterfalls as her mind went through the images of her loved ones. Her eyes snapped up when she saw the Waxing Crescent Moon's light shine upon her and through this, she saw a handsome man of twenty-one with messy, smooth caramel colored hair that went down to the nape of his neck along with a pair of piercing, calculating bronze eyes and pale skin. Gently, he wrapped his strong, long arms around her and picked her up with his bronze eyes showing concern.

"Are you alright?"

He asked, his voice deep and raspy yet to her, soothing. She mutely nodded, her lilac eyes wide with awe at the mysterious man, her mind tugging at her relentlessly at the familiarity of him. Her eyes widened with realization which made the man look at her questioningly, before she softly exclaimed, "You're the angel in my dreams!" He blinked before chuckling softly. "Yes, Lady Amethyst, Im the shadow angel in your dreams." She furrowed her eyebrows, her eyes shining with confusion. "D-demo (B-but), my name is Hinata Hyūga." She said as the man carried her into her room and set her down gently on her bed before sitting down on her bed himself. "In this world, you are Hinata Hyūga, heiress to the Hyūga clan. But, in my world, you are Princess Amethyst Kluge of Abgurd, the kingdom in the abyss and home to the Schatten Engel. I am your guardian and protector, Dimitri Jaeger." He informed, his bronze eyes gazing into her own lilac eyes which made her cheeks become dusted in a light shade of pink. "S-so...Mommy's a Queen?" She asked. "No, your sister is; Queen Jerica Kluge of Abgurd, the most poweful Schatten Engel the kingdom of Abgurd has ever produced." Dimitri answered as he tucked in Hinata, watching with a ghost of a smile as she cuddled into the comforter. "And someday, you will rule over Abgurd, Lady Amethyst, and I will be at your side." Her eyes widened with awe. "You mean it?" He nodded and she got up from her place inside the warm comforter, feeling the night's cold air against her exposed skin, and asked, "Can you train me to be a shadow angel?" He nodded with a chuckle, "Yes, Lady Amethyst, now sleep." "Demo...when I wake up, you'll be gone." She whimpered, making Dimitri's eyes widen in shock. "No, I will never leave your side...ever. It is my duty as a dark guardian that I stay by your side and protect you from all harm." He pledged with his calloused hand over his heart, his bronze eyes gleaming with undying loyalty and determination, and with that look alone reassured Hinata that he would not leave her. She crawled over to him and wrapped her tiny arms around his neck, shocking him, as she softly said, "Oyasumi, Dimitri (Goodnight, Dimitri)." before crawling back inside her comforter, falling into a peaceful slumber. He let a tiny smile make its way into his features as he melded into the shadows of her room, being unseen by everyone, as he whispered, "Goodnight, my princess."

When she awoke the next morning, she saw Dimitri standing by her side, patiently waiting for her to awaken so they could start their training, making her smile brightly at him in joy. And so, their training began, and Hinata had to balance her training as a kunoichi and as a schatten engel. It went to the point where she loved her birth name more than the name everyone knew her by. Soon, she thought as she practiced her aim in kunai and shuriken, I will surpass Jerica and rule over Abgurd in her honor!
